Very simple to organise travel Insurance via a telephone call. Matt the member of staff that assisted me was excellent. He was professional and courteous and was able to explain the whole process to me so that I was fully informed about the best policy for my needs. Price was very competitive for the amount of cover that my policy gives me. I will certainly consider using Southdowns Insurance in the future.
I took out the initial annual holiday insurance policy for my daughter to help her out in 2020-2021. It has only come to my attention now that they have been automatically renewing it every year since and taking money from my bank account without my permission. I have requested a refund for the years in question, as neither of us was aware of the situation and my daughter consequently bought travel insurance elsewhere when it was required. They replied with a fairly standard letter only addressing the 2025 policy, saying I’d missed the 14 day cooling off period! I have taken advice and replied. I will not stop until they accept responsibility for their lack of transparency and underhand methods when dealing with customers who initially employed their services in good faith.
