Review Time
Changed from 50/20 iinet to 50/20 Spintel several weeks ago. So far no issues and speeds have been good. I required some assistance from their tech support to change from CGNAT to dynamic IP to allow port forwarding to view my security cameras externally. Low wait time on the phone and was quickly fixed while on the phone.
their mobile broadband hardware is barely usable. frequently drops connections, cannot be used in any kind of vehicle, the charging port is so loose they stop charging if you breathe wrong in the same room as the cable. same goes for their wireless home broadband. unreliable connections, completely arbitrary if it uses 5G. customer service is terrible, can't get anything to happen unless you phone. they clearly don't rent enough bandwidth from optus to provide an adequate service. 1 star as can't give 0.
Spintel has raise an entry on my Credit Report for an amount that is from a dispute I had with them from May 2022. This amount was for them to reserve our landline number so that another provider (Telstra) could port the number over to them. Over a period of about two months Telstra tried to do this on 4 occasions and each time there was a "technical issue" with Spintel. During this time, we had no functioning landline. This service was recommended by Spintel and they indicated that it would be a quick and easy process for our number to be ported. But it never happened. I indicated to Spintel that I would not pay for the services, as the reason I engaged this services was based on their advice which turned out to be misleading at best or worst intentionally deceitful.
This company is absolute garbage. No service and continued now four months later after cancellation they continue to harass me for money. If anyone owes anything Sointel owe me as they took out monies when I had cancelled the service. I’ve spoken to them 20 times and yes very caring but nothing happens. They should be reported to consumer affairs which I will be doing.
I am just 10 days since signed up with Spintel.last night my internet service dropped.Spintel only works from 8 to 8. so obviously no one could help.This morning spoke with poor, rude and helpless customer service staffs, can help as I am not at home.She even said to cancel the service if not happy.I was with TPG for 3 years, not a single time did my internet drop or I have to call them... I really regret too much due to greediness as my friend referred me to get discounted service, now I am suffering with worse service.
These guys used to be quite a good service. But in the last few months my FTTP connection speed has dropped to 8-12mbps (on a 25 plan). For weeks they have been trying to resolve it, blaming my modem and cable and everything except their service. They finally sent out a loan modem and the problem still exists. They are most likely over subscribing their lines and not buying additional bandwidth. Don't waste your time with these guys. Better to head to another supplier.

Terrible customer service, good reason they are cheap! Internet was fast up until the connection went slow and unstable, I was told to hire my own technician and fix it myself. Clearly a short sighted money grabbing company, they won't be around in a couple years I'll bet...
