Frustrating Experience with Long Waits

I would rate this experience negatively if possible. On December 20th, I stood in line for nearly two hours to get through security, with no bins or restrooms available. The bins for disposing of liquids were relocated, leading to longer wait times for regular passengers. Additionally, the escalators were out of order, the restrooms were filthy, and there was a lack of personnel. Even filling a water bottle took ages due to long lines. This airport is a nightmare, and despite the cheaper flights, I advise avoiding it due to the additional expenses you may incur.

Frustrating Security Delays

On December 20th, I encountered absurdly long security lines. Why are so many flight slots sold if they can't manage the flow? Poor management led to a dreadful experience.

A Poorly Managed Airport Experience

This airport has reached new lows in terms of service. If you’re unfamiliar with the layout, it’s confusing. Without fast track, you’ll face endless queues. If you dislike walking, this isn’t the place for you. There’s no quiet area to relax. Overall, it’s a poorly managed facility focused solely on profit, with no regard for customer experience. Previously, arrivals from within the country allowed for a seamless exit, but now you’re herded onto a bus, requiring a lengthy walk. It’s frustrating!

Disappointing Airport Experience

This airport is shocking. It took over an hour to get through security, and there were no connecting flights available. Upon returning from a quick trip, I had to exit the building and re-enter security for my next flight. It's overcrowded, and the service from airport staff is lacking.

Security was chaotic

Security was chaotic, everyone seemed to be moving slowly. My bag was pulled aside, for searching.Fair enough, but I was watching the staff while I waited and thorough does not mean go slow.I had to say goodbye to a Christmas present, but the whole process was blackboard on nails irritating.The swabbing in slow motion of each item, each zip, pocket, inside and out was nail pulling. Then he proceeded to put a crumpled up paper into the machine. Of course I want to feel safe, but we’re the staff on a go slow?

security screening machines same rules

So new security screening machines, same 100ml rules , fast track took one hour, as they figure out how to use the machines which during my sojourn crashed , lengthening an already abysmal experience

Awful …

Flew from Stansted Airport and found the staff very rude and unhelpful. Long delays getting through security. The staff were in no rush to help get people through even some people were going to miss their flight. No pleasantries from security staff although the staff at duty free were lovely. The airport is dirty and badly signposted. Would not fly in or out of here again. Would advise against using this airport if possible.

I am almost sure there is a health and…

I am almost sure there is a health and safety issue here, as the amount of people in such a confined area for a protracted period of time is tantamount to reckless endangerment. Also I would not like to rely on the competence of staff in an emergency based on todays observation.

1 hour of queues for security

1 hour of queues for security, staff shrugging shoulders, broken lighting, dark departure gates, dirty floors, information screens not working or displaying the wrong information. Thought we caught Stansted on a bad day, but it looks like this is business as usual at Stansted.
