Should be zero stars, waited 45 minutes to talk to someone, she confirmed my contact details, said she will call back in a minute, didn't, wtf State, my claim for damaged glasses has taken 10 days and no response from you, we have been with State for many years and there service is the worst ever, seriously looking at changing insurance companies for all our needs

To be honest other insurance probably the same. However the difference is our home, car and contents insurance has been with state for over 10 years. They have changed in the last year including some policies. Today we called. I asked a difficult question and was put on hold for 15 minutes before someone answered like it was a new caller. I explained our whole claim story again, very long and difficult situation.It is really clear State don't care about relationships and we will be looking to move if appropriate exists. A new policy was slid in last year which means when your car is written up, not only is the insurance policy cancelled immediately (this is fine) but as well as cancelling they charge you for the remainder of the year. We requested flexibility on 3 cases with 3 different things, including me offering to help with scraping and to no avail. No flexibility, all 1 way. Awful to no customer service.
I have been wanting my excess understandably it would take time but was lied too and bs time after time on the 23rd December someone told me they had deposited my excess only to find put 2 weeks later NOTHING it was a lie. Aradna and Rahul especially Aradna was the only woman being honest with me and helped me after I wanted to speak to their manager. It concerns me that we entrust State with our lives only to be given the ringer. State are in a State!
Absolute insanity - my sons tyre fell off while driving, probably due to previous mechanic - weeks of back and forth, them asking us to provide a replacement tyre, to them saying they can't find one, to they would find one, then they would cover all 4 wheels and then only one - ended up with the spare tyre on it, they did one rear brake pad so the car is uneven and then charged him 1150 excess, for installing his spare tyre and one brake pad!! WTH!! absolutely terrible communication. will never use these guys again!!
The worst No photos or proof of the claim of the car my husband didn’t even hit it it just happened to touched by the tow bar yet claim 3k over for it and they don’t have any proof of car damages coz there was no damage n the lady name Dani Wilson she’s the most annoying rude n think she’s all that didn’t even want to handle the situation she just want money Worst place ever even the people scammers !!!!! Dani Wilson get a life a proper one if can
I took a content insurance from them. They denied my first claim for the reason that the content was more than 5 years old. When I first called them and spoke to a representative to check the quote, I wasn’t made aware of this condition. So Eventually, the entire premium that I was paying has gone to waste. I will never go back to this company. I’d rather pay a higher amount and get an honest insurance company. People, please don’t fall in their ‘weekly payment’ trap. Such companies should be reported to the government.
