The staff at the airport are always polite and efficient. They quickly find my booking and a driver is normally provided within 10 minutes which seems reasonable. Whilst it may be quicker on occasion to walk out and get a black cab the price is going to be far higher than pre booking street cars.
I pre-booked a taxi with Street Cars Manchester the night before for a 09:00 pickup. By 09:35, nothing had arrived and I received no delay notification at all. When I called the company, I was told there would be a “considerable delay,” potentially another 30 minutes or more.Because of this, I missed my hospital appointment entirely.A confirmed booking should not fail without explanation, and customers should not be left completely uninformed. After checking other reviews, this seems to be a common problem with this company.Very poor reliability and communication. I would not recommend for any important or time-sensitive journey.
Booked through Booking.com and put in the comments that we will need 2 stops as there was nowhere else to add this. The person at the desk in the airport was rude even through I showed him the bookings details. He then said he’ll update the booking. Then the taxi driver who picked us up made a huge deal about it and argued with us over it. He then made us wait outside (3 elderly people, a pregnant person and a 3 year old) while he called the office to argue with them over having to 2 stops even though this are literally 5 mins apart. Eventually to move things along we agreed to be dropped off at the one stop to avoid anymore waiting around. Overall a poor service that I will not be booking again. The idea of booking a taxi is to make things easier for us rather than more stressful and also having to deal with rude people and having to argue after getting off a 7 hour flight!
Great communication from Streetcars from the booking process through to pickup informing you when the car has been dispatched and when arriving at pickup point.Great that you have the choice to pay before so no hidden costs.Never late, always on time or even early. Very trustworthy and reliable.
