Review Time
It's the second time I was asked to pay more by the driver. I ordered a taxi to Manchester Airport and chose street cars cause the price was 17 pounds but the driver demanded 22. I protested so the driver called the office and they started making things up to justify the additional fee like I didn't pick up the phone even though I did. I went to ask the staff at the airport office and they said it's what they do so one should pay on the app and avoid the pay by cash option as the fees get inflated.
The first driver sent by streetcar couldn't find my location, so called me and gave me unclear directions on where to walk around a block to find him. But the unclear instructions meant that I could not find him. He became frustrated on the phone and then gave up and killed the job, so i had to call streetcar and secure a new driver. This second driver was very helpful. Nonetheless, the consequences of the first driver ment that I was very late to my destination as a result.
The driver took an hour to get me from Hale to Salford Royal Hospital, no heavy traffic, normally a 1/2 hour journey, he then charged me £29.80, he had no meter in his car where I could see the price, I’m not happy with this, I complained about the price he said it would have cost me £40 if he would have gone the other way.
