Substack has become a site for trolls seeking to correspond with women who post.

If you put a picture of yourself, you get inundated with correspondence with men seeking relationships.

I am so utterly pissed off.

I joined LEGAL AF AND PAID FOR A 12 MONTH MEMBERSHIP, on the condition I was able to see all information, including live chats, ask questions and review court documents.

1. have I been able to see court documents? NO.

2 do I get live content? NO

3. POPOK WROTE TO ME, OR A STAFFER DID SUGGESTING I BECOME A PAID MEMBER, & RECIEVE live coverage. I did at the start. Then when I lodged a complaint about discussing Trolls contacting me, suddenly I'm no longer able to see live conent. I've been removed from Live content. Which I signed up for & got for 3 weeks, then the complaint I said during my last live view, since then I have not been able to view anything live, now I'm a Free Subscriber.

4. They keep your CC details, you can't delete your CC information. You actually have to delete your account to delete your CC detials.

5. As a so called Legal Services where Micheal Popok alleges he is protecting women from preditors, here I am getting unsolicted messages from people men wanting to date me. Get pictures of me and telling me how beautiful I am.

6. I've written to Popok, and as yet after nearly 2 weeks, I have not had a response. You would expect when provided with such information you would recieve an acknowledgement and the matter would be looked into. Again being the head of a law firm, you would expect Preditor Trolls to be dealt with & an apology issued. Answer NO.

Good money down the drain, Your privacy not respected, Being subject to Preditory Trolls who send unsolicted messages wanting to date you, Your credit information stored goodness knows where with no way of deleting it, and with being advised that your credit information is being kept for future access without your consent, Arbitrarily being removed from a fully paid service simply because the user raises a concern about Preditory Trolls using a Substack Vlog, absolutley no accountability.

Be warned. Caveat Emptor, Buyer Beware, If your a women, be especially careful on protecting yor privacy

A Platform Lacking Real Engagement

This is primarily a platform for writers, but it fails to engage readers meaningfully. The focus on writers results in a lack of honest feedback and interaction. The effort needed to appease overly sensitive users is simply not worth it.

Lacks Essential Features and Neglects Writers

This platform misses basic features and analytics, and it appears to disregard writers after launching a new app. I wouldn't recommend using it to start your newsletter.

Extremely Disappointed After Years of Loyalty

As a loyal user for 4 years, my recent renewal experience has been a nightmare. The subscription price was listed as 70€, but I was being charged 85€. Additionally, there was no option to cancel the pending renewal in my account settings, and it has been processing this incorrect charge for 4 weeks. The automated support agent is ineffective and unable to resolve billing issues. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and human support.

Frustrating Experience with Charges

I had a terrible experience with this company. After unsubscribing from their newsletter, I was still charged the next month. This is unacceptable, and the lack of real customer support makes it worse. Their 'support chat' is just an AI that asks for more details without solving anything. When I requested to speak to a real person, I received no response or follow-up. It feels like they intentionally set this up to block refunds and complaints.

Terrible and Ineffective Support

The support here is incredibly poor and unhelpful. The chatbot only repeats certain lines, providing no assistance with refunds. It claims it can't find my email address or payment confirmation. This seems designed to frustrate users and block refund requests. I never expected such a popular platform to handle refunds so poorly.

Endless Cycle of Unresponsive AI

The 'customer support' here is a contradiction. One star is too generous. There seems to be no real support, just AI that makes subscribers' lives difficult. My subscriptions continued to charge me while I was told to 'subscribe' for access. I went through countless attempts with 'magic links' and codes, only to be trapped in a loop. The chat feature is a joke, and there’s no real team to help. I had to block payment through my credit card and file a dispute, which was resolved in my favor. I later received a message from a newsletter staffer who promised to escalate the issue, but I haven't heard back since.

Account Issues

All I see for my account is a notice saying 'PAGE UNAVAILABLE.' I can only assume they have gone under. Good riddance!

Completely Unsatisfactory

This is merely a social media platform that lacks readers for genuine engagement. It prioritizes writers so much that honest feedback is almost nonexistent. The effort required to please the overly sensitive individuals on there is simply not worth it.

Unsatisfactory Experience

My subscription has auto-renewed without my consent. The platform claims you can cancel within 7 days for a full refund, but I have tried multiple times without any success. There's no one to talk to, and the help feels automated. I'm really disappointed with the customer service and will be deleting my account.
