Great platform to find tutors quickly.
Superprof makes it easy to browse tutors, compare profiles, and message them directly. I liked the variety of subjects and price ranges. The interface is simple and does the job. Just be aware of the membership fee before contacting tutors. Overall, a solid platform if you know what you’re looking for.
Warning!! You cannot message or book a tutor without paying a £39 fee first. They call it the "Student Pass" This fee goes to the platform, not the tutor.
If you have been charged this fee and the company is refusing to refund you, contact your bank immediately and request a "Bank Chargeback" for a misleading transaction.
I want to warn others incase they have accidentally paid the fee and weren't aware.
The Trap:
Be aware of their use of language like "No Commitment" language "First Lesson Free!" This is only after you have paid £39. Once you hit request a tutor that is where you get charged £39 and you cannot cancel your request. I repeat there is NO option to cancel your request. Once the tutor receives your request and accepts it which for me was within 30minutes you are charged the £39 before paying the tutor fees. Even the 'First Lesson Free' claim was inconsistent; my tutor's own profile only offered the first 30 minutes free and he was unaware of the platform's £39 fee. This confirms the disconnect between the platform's advertising and the actual service.
Customer service was dismissive and used loopholes and long lengthy emails to ignore the refund request.
I got my money back by going through my bank (Nationwide). Don't let them tell you a refund is impossible—it is a misleading "dark pattern" design. Speak to your bank and report the transaction as "not as described."
I'm a tutor on Superprof.com and I love it for my freelance work. The students I have worked with so far have all been really lovely and the user interface is very simple to use. Payment is prompt and overall, I am really happy to be on it.
Superprof is a good company with many students. Honestly, I'm lucky to have a student who approaches me and enrolls in my class. I'm a new tutor and got a student within less than a month, and didn't have issues regarding the withdrawal of my salary on the site. But not all the new tutors can have a student quickly, you have to be patient until one day a student will approach you. Especially when you don't have a premium account. They prioritize the tutors who have a premium account over the simple tutors. I will tell you it's worth trying. Nothing will be lost if you try it and are eager to share your knowledge with the student who needed it the most. And I hope that I can have another student who will enroll in my class. Help me to have one or two, superprof!
From a tutor’s perspective, my experience with Superprof has been very good. The platform is easy to use and understand. Creating my profile was simple and did not take much time.
Superprof is doing well by helping tutors connect with students. I started getting messages from students without problems. The communication system is clear and works smoothly. What I like most is the flexibility. I can choose my own schedule and set my own price. This makes teaching more comfortable and less stressful. Overall, Superprof is a helpful and well-organized platform for tutors. I am happy with my experience.

The whole system of education and training has been ridiculed by them. the have hidden charges with fake profiles and goons in the name of teacher. The enter foreign domains and mint business which could be sometimes dangerous for the learner. The have biased attitude towards certain country. Its all just a lie at sign-up, it's not even subtle. When you request a lesson, it tells you that they only charge if THE tutor accepts, but then they spam you with other tutors, hundreds of kilometres away, saying this random unrequested tutor has "accepted" you. They use this as justification to charge you, even though the tutor REFUSED your lesson. It's the absolute definition of a scam.
Signup process is outright deceitful. They charge you just for contacting a tutor, whether or not you actually take a lesson. Furthermore, the charge renews every 30 days!
Avoid!

I signed up to find a tutor, it said that was not gonna be charged until I schedule an appointment with a tutor. As soon as I messaged a tutor, I got charged $49 as part of the membership fee. Only to find out that they’re all virtual tutors not what I was hoping for. They will not give me my $49 back. Don’t do it. It’s very expensive. I’ve already contacted them, but they refuse to give me my money back.
