We went to the Telford clinic, it wasn't a great experience. The scan felt very rushed after a long delay with the appt before us, there was hardly any information given to us in the scan. We had been messed around with our appointment, we had booked to go to the Hereford clinic but this was cancelled the day before our original appt, we only knew this via email at 3:15pm the day before, they didnt even call us. We were booked in to go to the Telford clinic instead after I called the team, which was good but it all felt very rushed, our appointment was extremely delayed and felt rushed. We also thought we would have the option to see our baby in 4D as this was in the description of the gender can booking but this wasnt offered to us. Considering you pay for a private scan you would hope to have a positive experience, i wouldn't recommend Ultrasound Direct, i would go somewhere else for a better experience.
I cannot recommend this service for hand or foot scans due to poor equipment quality. The probe used was of low frequency, which is not suitable for superficial examinations. I sought a written report for my GP to assist with my concerns about arthritis, trusting this center based on their assurances. As someone in medical imaging, I was disappointed with the initial scan and requested a refund, which I received for the hand I chose not to scan, but I still paid for the first one. Despite informing them of my concerns, I was told that a scan for arthritis was unnecessary, despite prior confirmation from the receptionist that it could be done. Although I was refunded for the second hand scan, I lost my deposit and the cost of the ineffective scan. When I inquired about better equipment, I was met with dismissive responses. The false reassurances given during the scan could mislead someone without medical knowledge into thinking everything was fine, which was not the case for me. The suggestions made for further imaging were vague, and the report provided was not interpretable by my GP. Overall, this experience was unhelpful, stressful, and a waste of time. I would suggest looking into alternative providers who are better equipped, even if they are pricier.

I visited a branch of the service and had a delightful experience. I was quite anxious, but the sonographer made me feel completely at ease and was wonderfully kind. The appointment was not rushed at all; in fact, it felt quite the opposite. I have been to another service before, and they simply do not compare. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else now.
I previously visited this clinic and had issues with blood withdrawal, resulting in severe bruising. This time, I received a confirmation without an address. I called to verify, and upon arrival, they acknowledged my identity and appointment. However, after waiting, I was informed I was in the wrong clinic due to incorrect details provided over the phone. This has disrupted my treatment, and when I inquired later, I was told there were no available appointments. They would have left me waiting indefinitely! There was no support or concern for my situation.
I have used this service without issue before, but my recent experience was unacceptable. I called a month ago and was promised a callback that never came. When I followed up, I was told a callback was 'impossible' yet no one reached out. Yesterday, I was instructed to call back with my serial number before my appointment, but when I did, I encountered an extremely rude staff member who treated me disrespectfully. She even cancelled my appointment right then! This behavior is completely unacceptable, and I’ve reported it. I will never use this service again and strongly advise others to steer clear.
I have used this service for my past four pregnancies, averaging 6 to 7 scans each due to being high risk. I have always received a warm welcome, typically from a specific practitioner who has been invaluable, along with the reception team. Even during difficult times, they were nothing short of amazing. As I approach my final scan for my last baby, I reflect on how integral they have been to my journey over the last eight years. I cannot express enough gratitude; the team deserves significant recognition. Don’t hesitate to choose them—you won’t regret it.
