Paid 98 cents each for documents and was somehow signed up for a subscription. Noticed the charge 4 months later having never used the service past the initial time when I paid for each document. Contacted customer service who cancelled the service but refused a refund. Gave a bad review, then they refunded one of the four months. They still have $120 of my money for services neither needed or rendered. They know their business model, while legal, is fraudulent.

After contacting customer support, my request was initially declined based on their refund policy. I explained that the core issue was lack of clear disclosure and informed consent, not a change of mind.
The resolution required 2–3 email exchanges, during which I stayed polite and consistent in explaining my concern. Eventually, my subscription was canceled and a full refund was issued to my credit card.
Steps that helped in my case:
Contact customer support immediately and state clearly that you did not knowingly agree to an auto-subscription.
Emphasize that the issue is unclear disclosure, not continued access to the service.
Be polite but firm, and be prepared to follow up more than once if necessary.

Beware of Unauthorized Charges

Funds were deducted from my account even though I canceled before the 7-day period after using the service once. Be cautious as they do not provide refunds and will charge a full subscription fee after just one use, in addition to the fee for that single use. They will process the charge six days after usage, so it's crucial to cancel right away.
