Review Time
Falsely advertised, cheaply made product with surprisingly terrible customer service. I am a first time customer - I ordered the Mushroom Stripe Cover which is advertised as 100% polyester in Materials (also listed as cotton/linen in the description which I did not originally see, but also incorrect). Many places on the website mention items made in the USA, including a specific question asking about the origin of the dog covers in the reviews - the customer service rep replied they are made in the USA. When I received the cover it is 100% cotton, extremely thin, and made in China. I messaged support immediately asking what the material is just to be sure, and where it is made. I received a message back stating "the info is on the website" it is 100% polyester, and then some vague statements about where other items are made and nothing specific about this cover. I replied asking for a pre-paid return shipping label because the cover is not as advertised, mainly that it is 100% cotton. A few days go by without a response so I message on the website again and receive what I can only describe as a trite response telling me I can return the item (I know I can, but I am not going to pay for it), and that support hours are M-F and I will quote here 'Was that not clear on the website or bounce back' Who talks like this? Anyway, I reply AGAIN asking for a pre-paid label since the item is not as advertised. No response. I try messaging again directly on the website since I am assuming they use a CX product that tracks response times from the website, but not ongoing issues via email - and I am blocked from submitting another request. For grace I let a couple of days go by and email the rep again stating I would like to return this product, but if I don't receive a label then I will be forced to dispute the entire transaction (including rush shipping) with my credit card. Still no response. Reading other reviews it seems this company has a systemic issue with customer support and it seems that one person is the main character in many of these reviews. Also I highly doubt the positive reviews of this product on their website are real, anyone who has a dog knows that this cover would not last two days before being shredded by normal paws. I am posting this as a warning to other potential customers - no response necessary from Foggy Dog as the time to fix my issue is long past.
I purchased the Harness Walk Set. The design is absolutely adorable, but on the third day of use, the clasp suddenly came off during our walk and my dog ran loose.Thankfully, I was able to catch her quickly, but it was a terrifying experience — I can’t stop thinking about what could have happened if there had been a car or another danger nearby.I’m writing this because I don’t want any other dog owners to go through the same thing.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product. The harness itself also doesn’t hold the body securely; it tends to shift to the side while walking, which makes it feel unstable. For the price, the functionality and safety are really disappointing.I contacted customer service as well, but it’s been four days and I haven’t received any response.
I wish I would have looked at reviews before ordering from this place. It's been a week and I've heard ZERO about my order for 1 small personalized dog collar. Most placed that do engraving can do them same day, so the 3-5 day wait time is excessive and the shipping time of 10+ days is even more excessive especially considering they are CA based, not coming from China. I ordered something from China, it would be here in a week and cost 1/4 of what I paid, which was over $55 for a small dog collar! I requested to cancel my order and received a blanket message that I won't receive a response for 24-48 hours.....I would have to agree, not worth the money, the wait and the customer service is lousy. But they do somehow seem to find the time to send me a ton of emails for advertising!!!!
I really wanted to love The Foggy Dog. Their branding is beautiful, the products look premium, and I was excited to support a boutique pet brand. But unfortunately, my experience was all style and no substance.I followed their sizing guide exactly — including the advice to leave two fingers of space when measuring my dog’s neck — and ordered a Medium. What arrived was a collar so loose my dog could easily slip out of it, even when adjusted to the tightest setting. Not ideal for something meant to keep your dog safe.I reached out to customer service hoping for a simple exchange or solution. Instead, I got multiple responses from Vanessa, who informed me that the collar “met their manufacturing tolerances” and that the sizing guidance was just that — a guideline. Despite following their instructions to a T, I was left with zero accountability, zero refund, and a 20% off code for a second collar that may or may not fit.At the end of the day, I paid $50 for a collar that doesn’t fit, a support team that won’t help, and sizing advice that led me straight to the wrong product.Cute products? Sure. But if you actually want something functional — or a company that stands behind its guidance — shop elsewhere.
The Foggy Dog boasts, in one of its video advertisements that their collars are "100% jingle-free collars," which is exactly what I was looking for. I ordered one for each of my dogs, and when they arrived, one was perfect. The other, the "luxe buckle" rattles/"jingles" with every move my dog makes. I messaged the company and their comment back to me was that, "We do strive to make our collars as “jingle” free as possible, but due to the metal and buckle style we use, some slight noise can still occur. Our signature gold hardware is designed to be both stylish and functional, but I completely understand your concern about the buckle’s noise." They were not willing to offer an exchange/replacement. Faulty advertising on a $35.00/each dog collar AND not standing by their "100% jingle-free" product is absolutely ridiculous! I would not recommend The Foggy Dog collars to anyone! Look elsewhere for better quality, better customer service and more than likely, much cheaper.
I purchased a leash from Foggy Dog almost three and a half years ago. I and my dog loved the leash -- just the right weight, length, and tension to let us know what each other is doing and thinking during our walks. Unfortunately, the leash's clasp broke a couple of weeks ago. But, even after more than three years of use, Foggy Dog replaced the leash for us, free of charge. Integrity is appreciated!
The Foggy Dog has unethical business practices and poor customer service. I purchased a collar for a friend's dog - first it was delayed in shipping. Then my item never arrived and was lost. I had previously looked at their return/exchange policy on their website and there was nothing to indicate I would not get my money back. When I emailed their customer service team to notify them that my purchase never arrived they told me they would not refund me as it was not their policy. When I pressed them further they said in the FAQ portion of their website they say that for lost packages they will only do store credit. This should be published where they have their returns and exchanges, not under miscellaneous FAQs. I will never purchase anything from them again and would discourage others from purchasing from them.
We have placed 2 orders with Foggy Dog and have had horrible experiences both times. SCAM!!! We will no longer be a customer with Foggy Dog. They need to improve their shipping and provide better service to their customers. Our first order we received someone elses bandanda. Wrong size, pattern and name. We had ordered it for a family photo shoot with our dog. They refused to refund us and said we had to wait for another one from them...but it was too late for the day of our photo shoot. The second time our package was lost and the tracking showed it never transferred to USPS. They made us wait 10 days for there to be no tracking updates. Of course...still lost 10 days later we reach out again. We wanted a refund as we ordered a sweater for our dog for the winter. Now winter is almost over. They refused the refund and we still have not heard back.
We ordered 3 collars and the largest one for our 22 lb bichoodle, the runner, broke instantly. Made out of amalgam, like solder type metal. I nearly passed out trying to grab him and had a full hour of surprise excercise and he nearly got hit by a car TWICE. Not happy, informed them and ZERO response. Avoid. The medium and small collars are still intact but those pups don’t pull and aren’t as strong, but either way it makes me nervous.
