Bad iphone and irresponsible service!

I purchased a refurbished iphone 13 in September last year, but it died after 5 months. I sent it back on Friday 28 February and on Monday 3 March they informed me that on Saturday 1 May they received the package, but it was in a Royalmail apology bag, because the phone was missing. Saturday is their working day, but they DO NOT DEAL with the packages, outrageous!During that weekend someone tried to log into my account, but I did not pay much attention knowing the phone was safe.The question is-why wasn’t I informed about the incident immediately? Very irresponsible of them. I still don’t know what exactly happened to my phone, Royalmail is silent, Theioutlet, (luckily for them) closed the case and I lost £419….
