Totally useless- except when it comes to taking your money, then they have high expertise. All this company do is make a call "on your behalf" to a tradesman to book work and charge you £60 NON-REFUNDABLE (or more) for the booking. You then deal with "subcontractors" and have to pay them in excess per hour after that. Non-existent customer service. I wish I could give a zero-star rating or even a negative rating.
Absolute rip off took £82.00, told me the washing machine engineer would be with us by 4 the same day, didn't happen an engineer rang us when I explained he should be out by 4 he advised me, he told the local experts, it would be a week, we were then charged 72.00 for the repair, the plumber was great, however they had 82.00 got doing nothing, I will report these to trading standards. DO NOT USE THE LOCAL EXPERTS. UK
This company is a scam! No matter how desperate you are DO NOT use them. Called this morning, advised engineer would be with me by 5. Got a call to say not going to turn up and offered me an appointment for a week later. This was for an emergency appointment. Charged me £75 for nothing and so far unable to get my money back!
This is a bunch of scammers operating a call centre charging £75 non refundable booking fees to take a call and will not answer the phone once card has been charged. Extremely frustrating experience with Local Experts - Called and paid for a call-out on Tuesday, a hefty £75, that I had to pay there and then. And was told someone would be out that day - but no one did. Lots of calls, and being left on hold, when I did speak to someone the service quality was disgusting, considering I paid £75 for thin air. In my determination, I turned into a bit of a pest. I kept calling them from 3 p.m. onward, desperate to find out when someone would be out. Finally, at 5 p.m., I got through to someone. But here's the kicker - they were super rude and just bluntly told me no one was coming out that day. Instead, they told me to reschedule because I would lose out.At least there is one funny thing about the Local Experts the call hold message "Your call is important to us, and you are next in the queue!" Avoid using this supplier if you can. You are basically paying £75 for a phone number - you then have to schedule the visit and pay the "expert" yourself!
DO NOT USE. They claim to have 'local trades people' on all 24/7. They take £75 as a booking fee not explaining that this is just to call around to find a local tradesperson. The tradesperson they eventually found called me to say that they wanted him to do the job for less than his usual rate and had never heard of them before. I called to complain and then they tell me they are a 'booking only' company and the £75 is their booking fee, it does not go towards the closet of the tradesman's services. The tradesman couldn't make it same day as they had promised and they refuse to refund me my 'booking fee'. They refuse to answer my calls now. Totally unscrupulous, and will be reporting to trading standards.
