No engineer arrived that day as promised, I was told £67, which they had already taken ,was for call out and 1/2 hrs work. The local experts passed me on to an engineer who said they give him nothing so I had to part with £55 for 5 mins work! I will never use them again!
Took my £75 only for a phone call. They said their engineer came on the same day, which is not true, and their engineer came 48 hours after a phone call. Their engineer took 2 minutes to look the fridge and advise me to pay £200 to repair the fridge. New fridge cost me £150. Spoke with the customer service and the customer service is very unprofessional, rude and said you have to pay to the engineer separately whatever cost. £75 cost only for answer the phone.
I asked beforehand if there is a call out fee. The call taker said that there was no charge. He did not mention anything about a booking fee. I was subsequently charged £75 as a non refundable booking fee. I phoned them to query this and was told this was clearly stated on their website. Not any use if you haven't been on their site. They are insistent that a booking fee is not a call out fee and would not be refunding it. They claimed that the call taker explained all this but they did not. Before you book this company be sure to ask them about all charges as they are quite happy to rip off anyone who is not up on these things. I am 80 years old and online things just confuse me. All charges should be fully explained and confirmed that the customer fully understands this.
This company is running a scam. They tell lies to you over the phone saying payment is for booking fee and call-out fee but then tell local engineers a different story. When I rang to complain they refused refund saying payment was a booking fee only. £75 for booking a local engineer! I have contacted the police and my bank. An engineer did arrive after 4 days, he was very angry as a previous client had also believed he had paid the call-out charge, he cancelled the job.
Phoned this company for an electric fire repair and was told they charged £62 for first hour.Despite advert claiming repairs within an hour didn't receive a response so cancelled, subsequently to find my bank account debited by £75.When asking to speak to somebody senior I was put on permanent hold.Could not contact the company despite several attempts.It would appear a lot of other people have had a similar experience.Would have given no stars if possible.Will be contacting fraud department of my bank and also police if so advised.
This company is a total rip off. Phoned at 9am and we only phoned them as they said they would get someone out fast and I needed an emergency joiner then paid £60 over the phone(NEVER PAY BEFORE WORK IS DONE AGAIN) The guy said that was us booked in and the joiner would contact us soon. Well, it got to 1pm and no call from a joiner. We were getting worried so contacted Thelocalexperts again and they said the joiner will be out to us before 5pm. 5pm came and no sign of any joiner. Had to phone Thelocalexperts yet again, they said they couldn't find any joiner to come out, and would we like to book in another appointment for the next day. Well to say my blood was boiling at this point was an understatement. If they told me in the first place they couldn't get anyone I would of phoned more local people to find someone. TheLocalexperts said the £60 we paid at 9am this morning is NON REFUNDABLE and were acting all nice and fake over the phone saying sorry and that we will try and get someone out tomorrow etc. In the end I had to go and get wood myself at 6pm and start doing all the work myself at night.
Avoid at all cost, I was booked in for 10:30 and no one showed. No call no text. I rang them and they said his coming for 2pm. Fine the bloke coming said he can’t come that its too far. I was charged 59£ over the phone. Give me Back my money as refund and they said they can’t. They kept transferring me over the phone telling me to go to an empty website. Avoid them. They are scams and a fraud. The guy Dan is so rude on the phone. Don’t go near them. If I can give more than 1 star I’d give them.
