This has been the worst gym experience I’ve had in London, especially at this price point.
For months there have been hygiene issues, including persistent strong body odour in the training areas. That alone is unacceptable for a club charging around £250 per month.
The final incident happened during my last visit on Friday, when I found actual human shit left in the shower area. I have photographic evidence. That was the breaking point. No one paying this kind of money should ever encounter something like that.
What makes it worse is how cancellation has been handled. I requested to terminate my membership immediately, yet emails go unanswered and there is no urgency shown despite the seriousness of the issue. For a “premium” brand, the response has been as poor as the hygiene.
I have trained at Equinox as well, at a similar price point, and the difference in cleanliness, environment and overall quality is significant. If you are considering spending this amount in London, you are far better off going there.
After what I experienced, I will not be returning
I’ve been a member at Third Space Richmond for over a year now, and it’s easily one of the best gyms I’ve joined.
The front-of-house team are always welcoming, and the cleanliness of the gym is consistently immaculate.
The equipment is some of the best I’ve used, and there are classes to suit everyone.
I love the spa facilities. Although they can be busy at times, they are beautifully maintained and offer a little peace and tranquillity after a session.
Two of my favourite trainers are Georgia Issacs and Vnisha Vaghela. They bring fantastic energy, have incredible knowledge, and always push you to go further.
One guy at the front desk is extremely rude, curt and dismissive.
Also their cancellation policy is that you have to give a full month, no matter the circumstances, I found out recently I have to move out the country and still they're making me pay an extra month because I'm a few days late on their 1 month notice.
With premium prices should come premium customer service, the lack of flexibility is baffling and reeks of predatory cash grabbing.
I truly enjoy this venue; it has a unique vibe and a lot of character. From the moment you step inside, you genuinely feel valued and supported by the staff. A big thanks to everyone who contributes to its charm: the team is remarkable. You can sense that people here really care, which makes all the difference.
I've visited other locations, but I always find myself returning to this one. It simply feels different. The environment is warm, inspiring, and personal—not just another upscale gym where no one knows your name.
Is it flawless? No, but neither is life, and that's part of the journey. We are all works in progress, striving to improve, grow stronger, and maintain our health with the aim of living fully for as long as possible. This mindset, along with strong values and connections to what matters, is truly supported here.
If you're looking for a gym with excellent facilities and a team that genuinely cares about you, this place is hard to surpass!
Disheartening experience: Security issues and unfounded claims during my membership cancellation. I have been a member of the service since 2019 and have always appreciated the facilities, but my recent experience while canceling was appalling. Despite giving proper notice, the club tried to charge me for January. When I reached out to clarify this, I encountered a dismissive attitude and was outright accused by the membership team of using the club when I had not. My honesty was doubted until I insisted on a formal investigation. The investigation ultimately confirmed - through the club’s own surveillance - that an unauthorized individual had accessed the gym using my digital credentials. It is utterly unacceptable to be accused of dishonesty to justify a charge, only to find out that the club had a major security lapse that went unnoticed. While the billing issue was eventually "settled" through a very brief email, no apology was ever extended for the dismissive service, the baseless accusation, or the security breach. This reflects an extremely low standard of care and a complete lack of respect.
This gym is impressively equipped and maintains a high standard of cleanliness, with machines seldom unavailable. The classes stand out as the main attraction—stunning studios, outstanding instructors, and a wide range of options. Additionally, it's a delight to have access to a swimming pool, spa, and ample changing areas.
I've been a member for about three years, and I've noticed a significant decline in the quality of the experience at the gym, especially over the past 18 months. The number of members has increased, while the value of the experience has diminished. In this time, the membership fees have risen every January, yet many facilities remain in disrepair, like sauna doors that don’t close properly. It’s also become increasingly difficult to find locker space due to overcrowding. Recently, they've even imposed mandatory 'charity' donation fees for basic items like straws, spoons, or paper cups. Initially, I shared a positive review on social media that gained nearly a million views, highlighting the luxury and convenience the gym offered. However, being charged for a wooden spoon feels inconvenient and far from luxurious. It may seem trivial, but I ended my membership, which costs nearly £4000 a year, over a small charge for a spoon—reflecting a broader issue at the gym. They seem to prioritize acquiring new memberships over maintaining a quality experience for current members. Additionally, I referred many family and friends for tours. While some joined, one friend was bombarded by the sales team through emails. It’s ironic, as they claim the gym is so popular that they have to operate waitlists for certain branches, yet the sales team persistently contacted my friend to secure a membership.
Becoming a member has significantly improved my health and wellness. The facilities are just as described and of high quality, with an amazing atmosphere and services. Every class I've attended has had fantastic instructors and enjoyable workouts. The spa has been a wonderful way to unwind after busy workdays. Although the gym is busy, I’ve never had an issue using the equipment or doing my workouts. Special thanks to a particular trainer who was incredibly friendly and made my personal training sessions very beneficial. The cleaning team also deserves recognition for their hard work in keeping everything pristine.
This is the best gym I’ve ever visited. The amenities are outstanding, featuring well-thought-out designs and a diverse range of classes offered throughout the day. The trainers are exceptional and truly knowledgeable, while the support team is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.
