Stayed in the Thistle hotel Tower Bridge.
Rooms are tired looking and in need of updating, including the bathroom area. Furniture shabby. Room not as shown in the advertising pictures.
Booked a Standard double room through Trivago on arrival we were given a standard twin room. The manager was argumentive and said she was unable to change for a double room as the hotel was fully booked. We checked online ourselves and the hotel it self were advertising availble double rooms for the weekend along with both Trivago and Booking. Com.
When we showed the manager she said the advertising wasn't true. I said I didn't believe what she was saying. She then went away and came back saying we could have a double room.
Please be careful at point of booking.
The food however was lovely in the bar area.

Consistent Comfort and Great Service

I have stayed at a hotel in Luton weekly for 12 weeks, and I've found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. In terms of value for money, I consider the following points: 1. The rooms are clean. 2. It's just a 5-minute walk from the station. 3. Conveniently located next to a shopping mall, making it central to various eateries, a cinema, and the town hall, with easy access to a major train station just 5 minutes away. While the hotel could use some updates, the positive attitude of the staff and the cleanliness keep me coming back each week for a couple of days while I’m working. One staff member, in particular, has always been professional, welcoming, and ready to assist, always with a smile.

Comfortable Stay with Friendly Staff

I have been staying at a hotel in Luton weekly for 12 weeks, and I find the staff to be very helpful and polite. In terms of value for money, I consider the following: 1. The rooms are clean. 2. It's a short 5-minute walk from the station. 3. Conveniently located next to a shopping mall, making it central to various eateries, a cinema, and the town hall, with easy access to a major train station just 5 minutes away. While the hotel could benefit from updates, the positive demeanor of the staff and the cleanliness keep me returning each week for a couple of days while I work. One particular staff member has always been professional, welcoming, and eager to help, always with a smile.

Needs Major Improvements

This hotel is in dire need of renovations. The exterior looks bad, and the interior is even worse. The staff at reception were rude, and many seemed to struggle with English. The furniture in the room was unappealing, and the bathroom had a broken light. The room was also noisy, with doors slamming throughout the night. Additionally, there was a fee to use the transport pods.

Unpleasant Experience at Trafalgar Square

The hotel in Trafalgar Square was disappointing. I was not allowed to use the restroom until I ordered a drink, which felt inappropriate. There seems to be no policy in place for potential customers to access hotel facilities without making a purchase. The reception staff were unprofessional and did not explain the reasoning behind the policy clearly. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Surprisingly Good Meal

We had a voucher for a meal for two and had low expectations. Although the dining area lacked atmosphere and we were nearly alone, the food was simple yet surprisingly good, and the service from our waitress was excellent.

Pleasant Stay with Minor Issues

I stayed at a hotel in Luton and found the staff to be very welcoming. A special thanks to one staff member for a smooth check-in and local insights. The breakfast was fantastic, well-prepared, and had plenty of options. The cleaning staff were also friendly and did a great job. The only downside was that the room was quite hot due to a faulty radiator thermostat, and maintenance has been informed.

Disappointing Experience with Management

I booked two deluxe king rooms for my daughter's 40th birthday in London, but our rooms were on different floors. My room was small with a standard double bed, lacking coffee-making facilities and a tiny bathroom. I later discovered my daughter received the deluxe room I had booked. Upon check-out, the receptionist confirmed my room was standard and could not refund the difference. I attempted to contact management via email but have received no response after six days. Very poor service; I will not use this hotel group again.

Mixed Experience at Tower Hotel

I stayed at a hotel near Tower Bridge. The room was in poor condition, the air conditioning was ineffective, and the windows wouldn’t open, making it uncomfortably hot. On a positive note, the breakfast was enjoyable, and they even provided a complimentary bottle of wine, but it didn’t compensate for the lack of sleep.
