I recently visited Thor Auto Center in Rødovre due to a starter issue. During the visit, they also performed a basic service, including an engine oil refill. Unfortunately, they significantly overfilled the engine oil.About a month later, while driving, I started hearing unusual noises from the engine. I returned to the workshop, and it was then identified that there was excessive oil in the engine. This is a serious concern, as overfilling engine oil can potentially cause major damage.The mechanic acknowledged the issue and asked me to leave the car, promising to fix it the next morning. However, when I followed up the next day, I was told they were too busy and would “try” to look at it later.I find it quite concerning that such a basic but critical mistake was made during a standard service. Proper oil level checking using the dipstick is a fundamental step, and in my case, the oil level was far beyond the maximum mark—reaching the very top of the dipstick. This level of overfill could lead to serious engine damage, raising the question of responsibility if something goes wrong.Overall, this experience has affected my confidence in their workmanship and reliability. I would advise others to double-check any work done, especially when it comes to essential maintenance like engine oil.
Four winter tires I brought with me were changed on 4 wheels that I also delivered. The summer wheels on my car were then replaced. This was done fast and at the time I'd booked. All at low cost.
