I thought I found a great deal for a flight from Denver to Munich on a travel platform, which redirected me to another service for booking. After proceeding with the booking, I was not informed that it was a Hidden City ticket, meaning there was an extra leg to Copenhagen after Munich. In a vague follow-up email, they mentioned an additional flight that could lower my ticket price but didn’t clarify the implications. The only way I discovered the Copenhagen leg was by checking the airline's website with my confirmation number, unfortunately after the cancellation deadline had passed. My wife and I were worried about our luggage being sent to Copenhagen and the potential consequences with the airline for missing that flight.
I contacted the service for a refund since I was not made aware of the extra leg. They were somewhat sympathetic and said they would reach out to the airline for a refund, which was mostly denied except for the taxes. They suggested we wait to see if the airline would cancel the flight, allowing us to request a full refund later. I agreed to wait since our flight was several months away. While I appreciate the refund of their service fee, I am still frustrated by what I perceive as deceptive practices for not disclosing that the ticket was for a Hidden City itinerary.
We reserved a business class ticket for a flight. After receiving confirmation, we verified the ticket on the airline's website, and it seemed valid. However, just 7 days before the flight, we attempted to check in and found we couldn't. To our shock, the ticket had been canceled. While at the airport, after 12 hours of calls and emails with the support team, they issued a new ticket through another airline. Upon arrival at check-in, the ticket was missing. We spent 2 hours at the counter only to discover there was no ticket or it had been canceled. After 14 hours of waiting, we ended up booking a new flight directly with the airline at three times the cost. Please be cautious with this service. I wouldn't recommend them. Steer clear!
It's been 24 hours since I provided my payment details for a flight from LHR to SJC on 01/01/2026 via MSP. I attempted to chat on the website but received no reply. I also emailed them and got no response. When I called, all the representatives were “busy.” They seem to have time to respond to customers here but not to their actual clients. I cannot recommend using this service for flight bookings. I’m baffled by their high rating when their customer support is so lacking. It's incredibly frustrating. Avoid this service!
I strongly discourage using this service. They insisted I purchase travel insurance for a non-refundable ticket. However, when I reached out to the insurance provider, they informed me that event cancellations are not included. As a result, I lost nearly $1200 for two flights. Avoid purchasing travel insurance or booking through unreliable third-party agents.
Booked a ticket from Newark to Amsterdam.Credit is charged, but I couldn't check in. Called the airline company, and they said: Credit card was declined, so the ticket was already cancelled. I booked the flight a few days ago and no one at Thrive messaged me that the ticket was cancelled. I even got confirmation from an employee of them that all was good, and I was set.Horrible service and I would not book here again. This is dangerous business if you are preparing for a long distance flight, just to find out 15 hours before take off, you have no ticket.
Worked really well. Saved me $200 and altough I had to wait 40 min to get the confirmation. I had a hiccup in plans and so I actually wanted to then cancel the booking, so called them up to cancel. They were nice but then things changed again and I called them back 20 min later and they were able to keep my reservation. I especailly appreciate Kayleen (?) and Mason, the two helpful customer service folkds
