I was scheduled for an interview on 15 January at 13:00 at the location of a logistics company for a Warehouse worker position. On 14 January, I received a reminder email from a representative. On the day of the interview, I arrived at the reception on time. However, I was seen by a different representative only after a long wait, who informed me that the supervisor deemed me too old (65) for the role, stating it would be too challenging for me. I requested to speak with the supervisor, but was told that wasn't possible. I also asked to tour the workplace, but was denied for 'security reasons.' When I sought an opportunity to demonstrate my capabilities—I had previously worked in a similar position at the company—I was informed that 'this is not how things are done.' This treatment seems to fall under discrimination according to Dutch law. For context, I maintain a regular fitness routine and lead a healthy lifestyle.
I cannot recommend this company at all. It has been the worst employer my husband has encountered in the past decade while working in the Netherlands. I urge anyone who is or has been employed by this company to review their payslips; you'll notice unjust deductions from your earnings. I am preparing to take legal action due to the intolerable treatment my husband received. They notified him only three days before his contract expiration that it would not be renewed, and this was only after he pressed for clarification. When paying his vacation and hours, he received only half of what he was entitled to. They exploit workers and pressure them into long hours, disregarding their rights.

My resume was held for two weeks before being forwarded elsewhere, leaving me jobless during that time. The office I interacted with seemed pleasant until it came to handling my severance pay, where I encountered lies and excuses. It has been a frustrating experience.
