Review Time
The only reason I have given TSD 1 star is that they have a website.I put in a 2-item order, Tues 13th Mar with a delivery for no later than Frid 16th. On Friday 16th I get an email telling me one of my items will be delayed until Mon 19th. No sign of the item which has no delay. No delivery of either item, Mon 19th, or Tue 20th, or Wed 21st. Tried to get in touch early Wed PM. 'Phone number is not available, email only. Sent email with a stated promise from TSD to come back as quick as a 'phone call. NOTHING. Still nothing AM Thu 22nd.TSD state they do not want 'phone calls as it keeps their costs down.What they cannot seem to appreciate is that their customers time is just as important as theirs. Customers have deadlines to meet, irritated customers of their own to placate due to delayed deliveries from TSD.Seeing as there is still no reply, I am wondering if TSD are still solvent. Am I going to see the goods or my money ever again?Order was placed in time. My printed copy tells me so. If TSD personnel elect to finish early, don't try to blame me. I ordered a pair of boots as a Christmas present several weeks before Christmas. I received an e-mail in the week before Christmas to say that the order would be delayed until February.
I replied by return to ask them to cancel the order as I had wanted them for a Christmas gift and I went out and bought a pair. I e-mailed again asking for confirmation of the cancellation but did not receive a reply. Guess what, they turned up today!! Appalling service.
I ordered two power tools from Tool Shop Direct. They didn't have one of them in stock so, instead of telling me, they sent a substitute. The tool they sent was missing all of its accessories and was not in its original packaging. They do not have a telephone number, so you have to contact them by e-mail. Typical response time is 24 hours. They refunded the cost of the tool, but not the postage cost. I had to order the tool elsewhere and pay the postage cost again. Tool Shop Direct could not have cared less. Buy from Tool Shop Direct at your peril.
I bought a tool at a good "Special Offer - Limited Stock" price having checked stock availability which was confirmed by email. They delivered a lower spec model. Excuse was "but when we went to pick it, there was no stock" Hassle of having to be around for return pick-up. No Phone contact. Emails half day response time. Full refund received.
The technical dept was to phone me the next day after ordering. No phone call. I phoned customer services to ask about my order. I was told I would have to speak to the tech dept, they said they would phone the next day. Again no phone call. I called again and was told the same story "the tech dept will call the next day". After a week this I phoned customer services asking if the tech dept was ever going to phone me about my order. They said they didnt know, customer services said they had no way of contacting the tech dept as they were a call centre. ??? They are the same company. So why tell me someone was going to call when they really didnt know if they would or not. How do you rate this for customer support? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
