Review Time
Very disappointing experience. I requested an officially recognized Turkish–Portuguese translation, and only after the work had already started I was told that they could not provide a sworn translation for this language pair. Despite multiple questions from their side during the process — clearly showing they knew what was required — this crucial limitation was never communicated upfront. Their explanation felt inconsistent, and I was expected to accept only a partial refund even though the service did not meet the agreed purpose. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.
I had an excellent experience with Translayte. My documents were completed very quickly and the translation was accurate and perfectly formatted. Communication was clear, and the whole process was smooth and easy. I highly recommend their service!
I have translated several simple 1 page documents with them in the past and it was fine. This time I had to translate a 4 page document and it was a different story all together. I put an order on their site, paid for it and next day recieved an email claiming that the word count (done on their site) is incorrect and I have an outstanding balance for the difference and they cannot proceed until I pay it. Well, I count words myself, also send the text to ai to count and the total word count comes down to the original amount. So they were trying to charge me extra for nothing, hoping that I won't check it myself I guess. So I write them an email asking to cancel my order as I'm not comfortable continuing working with them after they mislead me like that. I hear nothing from them for several days. So I write them again asking to cancel and refund me in full. Again, no reply for 2 days. Finally all of the sudden I receive a letter from them saying that my order has been processed and shipped and they are not going to refund. That email is followed by another one, in which they proclaim their commitment to customers - as a joke i guess. Never again. By contrast I ordered translation from IMMITRANSLATE - they were twice as cheap, and did the job twice as fast. Never never again, Spanish Group.
My certificate was translated. I was basically satisfied, but the translator did not use upper and lower case correctly and also did not translate the grade designation correctly (‘good’ for a ‘sufficient’). I was able to note the changes I wanted and then received a flawless translation.
