I am a 78 years old, have osteoarthritis and have difficulty getting around. My doctors strongly advised me to exercise and to keep moving - not so easy on wobbly painful legs. I looked for a Walker that would help me do this and also one that had a seat. The Walker also had to have easy manoeuvrability because as the disease is also in my shoulders and arm joints I lack strength to lift or shift any appliance. Following much searching I found Trionic and studied their Brochure. There is a wide selection to suit all manner of lifestyles. The Rollator Walker 12er, with a 10 year guarantee, seemed the best fit for me. The company staff were so incredibly helpful, giving clear advice as I had to order on line. Four days after I had placed the order my Walker was delivered. Four days from Sweden to the Uk. The Walker was well packed and protected. I presumed I would need to assemble part of it, but I didn't. The Walker was ready to use immediately. Just an easy adjustment to the height if the handles and then... freedom! I am so pleased with this product and highly recommend to anyone who needs a sturdily made Walker to help them enjoy the outdoors again. My young grandson summed it up: "Nice piece of kit grandma!"This modal handles uneven surfaces very well indeed. It fits in the car boot if we want to go onto the Moors. I drive, the children lift it out, we all enjoy a stroll together. Wonderful.
I bough a Veloped with 14 inch wheels. As an off-road walker it is the best. But it is simply too large for an urban environment. I have major problems going through store doors with it. Using it on an urban sidewalk also is not easy due to its extra width. While the unit folds up for storage and transport, it tends to open up. I had to create my own velco latch to keep it closed.Part of would return it due to the size except it is the only walker I found that works well on sand.
I have two Veloped walkers the sport and the 14 ER they gave me my life back With the Sport I can take my two Old English Sheep Dogs for lovely walks over the fields the 14 ER I have in the car and use to get a round the town and shops perfect for all the different surface's the service from Stefan is faultless I ordered my 14 ER on Sunday and it was in my home on Thursday traveled. from Sweden to Oxfordshire in this country you do not get that sort of service I have just had to wait 2 weeks for two dining chairs and been charged delivery well done to Stefan and a big thank you from me and my two lovely dogs
Stefan, was very helpful and gave me good advise on which product would suite my brother best. The web site was well presented and any questions I had, Stefan answered them promptly. It arrived at our house in the UK, well packaged and very promptly. It is amazing and so much better than the usual rollators. It looks modern, is light and the way it folds, it's so easy for my brother to get on the bus and store it. My brother likes the large wheels and also finds it so much easier to push, because the wheels don't wobble. My brother is now able to walk more upright and further than he did before with his old rollator. I highly recommend this company and the Trionic Veloped.
My walking ability deteriorated markedly earlier this year when I reached 90 years of age. My physio advised me I should use a Walker for support when moving around out of doors. As I have resided in a sheltered housing flat for the last 12 years I have had the opportunity to observe residents using various models of locally acquired models.of Walker. The shopping centre of this local historic small English town is around five or so minutes walk at a normal walking pace. It is accessed via an unevenly paved footpath, a couple of kerbs, and finally by a downward sloping pathway. The centre has a cobblestone market square, from which radiate four long streets of shops. Many of these have a step or two to access. Pedestrians who use locally available walkers have some difficulties in shopping. I therefore borrowed one such walker from a resident and found I was only able to visit two or three shops at most before becoming exhausted and having to struggle home up the inclined route with further problems getting up kerbs. I surfed the web to locate a source for a better quality walker and found the Trionic site to be a potential source. I received a comprehensive catalogue on request which arrived from Sweden in a few days. Some details needed to be clariified and each of these was resolved via a series of e-mails to an from Stefan Kindberg, (the inventor/designer and owner of Trionic) The optimum model was identified as the Walker12er.. This has 12 inch diameter wheels and is designed to overcome the difficulties of manoevering kerbs and steps.I called up the order form on a Monday, and completed it and payed via the Paypal option,. Promptly I received a confirmation, and a message that the order would be despatched from Sweden that same day,to be delivered to me (via UBS) on the Friday.four days later. It arrived on time in a stout cardboard box which when opened, revealed the 12er as fully assembled.; Included was an instruction book giving comprehensive instructions on how to set it up for individual use.and on how to use the braking systems etc.The 12er has been used daily over the last month and has performed faultlessly. .It has coped with with all the problems mentioned earlier. Now I can shop from one end of the town to the other for over an hour and return home.without any fatigue and the 12er is undoubtably the Rolls Royce of walkers. This superior performance is clearly a function of the design which is based on four 12 inch wheels each of which swivels easily...This latter feature also makes traversing indoor corridors and doorways easy. Also the ability to control the level of braking applied is a useful safety factor. as it prevents the possibility of the Walker attempting to run away on a severe downward slope. .The 12er is fitted with an adequate basket for light shopping loads and incorporates an ingeniously designed seat for resting, if neccessary. There is a price to pay for this excellent Walker but the loss of my walking ability was so high that I could envisage having to enter a care home for treatment and rest and thus generate astronomic costs. So I am able to rate the expense fori the 12er as most worthwhile.. .
My father moved from London to Cornwall to live with our family to enable us to look after him. He had a city walker that he used and this proved unsuitable for the pavements and footpaths we have in Cornwall. We came across Trionic on the internet and after some investigation decided to order a Trionic Walker 14 er. We were told that the order would be about 2 weeks and as promised it arrived on time in a very sturdy box. It was well worth the wait it is built to a very high standard and we were able to take it out of the box and use straight away (truly plug and play). Ivor my father has used it every day and comes back from walks with nothing but praise for how comfortable it is to walk over all the uneven and changing surfaces, he is planning on walking round our local lake which is 31/2 miles on his 90 th birthday next month. To sum up a fantastic piece of kit and worth every penny it cost.Ivor & John Bittle
My Veloped Trek has begun to change my life. My service dog and I can go for long walks or short ones. When I feel the most off balance, I use the Veloped because it provides me more stability than other walkers. The 14 inch wheels and tires make for a quiet walk in buildings. My doctor took the information on this walker to share with other patients. I heartily recommend this for anyone who needs a walker and wants to be outside more. Oshin was very, very helpful in answering my questions and helping me when I needed some clarification on the product...not due to the product but due to my brain. I just wish it were Norwegian, not Swedish...just kidding!
I'm over the moon with my Trionic Veloped Trek 14er! I have various health problems which impact my life in many ways. I'm still reasonably young at 38, and still lead as active a lifestyle as possible - despite my mobility issues. I enjoy woodland walks, hill walking etc and I'm also a Grade III Para Equestrian dressage rider, so I needed something more stable than a cane or crutches, that could cope with difficult terrain, which is where the Trek 14er comes in. Unlike regular rollators, it's designed to cope with rough/uneven terrain, it's sturdy enough to support me, yet still lightweight enough for me to lift in and out of my car etc. It has a seat for when I have to stop and rest, and also two very handy bags that can be attached to the Veloped, or removed if not needed. It's a great help for me around the stable yard also, no more carrying heavy buckets or haynets, I just sit them on the Veloped and I'm off! It will also be a fantastic help when away competing - its versatility is second to none! Oh, and did I mention it looks good too?! The Veloped isn't only useful but it's aesthetically pleasing too, dare I say quite stylish! It's given me far more confidence to go out and about by myself too, as the Veloped can carry everything I need. The only down side, in my opinion, is the price... however, it's definitely worth every penny. If you want to get out there in style and with confidence - the Veloped is for you!!
My 87 year old mother is thrilled with her new walker. Instead of rattling along uneven footpaths and struggling up and down kerbs she now glides effortlessly over all the bumps and up high kerbs. Nothing like this wonderful walker is available in Ireland but once I found the Trionic Veloped site I knew we could at last get my mother a walker that is fit for purpose - going for a good walk and doing her shopping in comfort. We couldn't believe how good the service was, we ordered the walker on Monday and it arrived fully assembled and good to go in Ireland on Friday. Stefan couldn't have been more interested and helpful. Janice (Ireland)
