Review Time
Some of the negative reviews made me nervous about my order for two Hankook tyres. This negativity was reinforced by poor email comms with regards to my order. Firstly, the order confirmation came with a ‘select this link’ to make payment, though I believe I’d already paid during the order - I therefore didn’t select the link, which turned out fine but it sowed further doubt. Additionally delivery time for the tyres was a few days longer than the suggested 3-5days. All that said, when I called them, they confirmed on the phone that the order had been processed and gave me a tracking number and delivery day. The tracking number didn’t work but the delivery of the tyres did happen within an hour of when they suggested on the phone. Overall, this company is offering good value tyres and the staff on the phone were honest and friendly. Where they are not great is with the email comms lacking information about delivery time and the fact the tracking number didn’t work.
I bought a single steel wheel for my SEAT, after mine was buckled in an accident. Tyres Guru quoted 3-5 days for delivery and it arrived, direct from the manufacturer in Germany, in four days. It was the correct wheel, from the OEM manufacturer. . . and at £36.50, a THIRD of the price I was quoted by the SEAT dealer! I'd seen other poor reviews for Tyres Guru and I knew they were just 'factors' relying on the manufacturer or wholesalers to deliver the right stuff on time, but I can't fault the service they gave me and it was brilliant value!
Absolutely appalling. I ordered two tyres on Monday and I was amased how long it took them to dispatch the tyres and give me a tracking number, but it gets MUCH worse. The order arrived at my selected garage on Thursday but I phoned the garage on Friday morning to confirm all was ok and it turns out only one tyre arrived!!!! Tyres Guru then asked me to sign an affidavit to confirm only 1 tyre arrived and to accept full legal liability if this is found to be false!!! They say they have ordered another tyre for me but I will believe it when I see it. I will not be surprised if I have to buy another pair elsewhere and take legal action against them.
Excellent service from this company who delivered 4 4 season tires to a mobile fitter in Edinburgh I have used before - Steve Ritchie of Pronto Mobile Tires who also gave excellent service. For unusual tires in UK market - such as 4 season - this is a great way to buy them and at prices the big tire chains cannot match.
Ordered a tyre on 27/12 and am still waiting for it. No communication except to say it would be dispatched soon, that was on 07/01. Original delivery was supposed to be 3-5 days not weeks. Only used this company as others wanted to charge extra as was only ordering one tyre. By the time I get it I’ll probably need to buy a replacement spare.
Ordered a tyre and received an email to say that the order had been cancelled. A few days later the same tyre was on the web-site but at an increase price? This is my first order and it will be my last. I have been using another online tyre company based in Ireland for a while now without a problem and only used Tyres Guru because the tyre i wanted was out of stock.
