I would rate this hospital a perfect 10 out of 10. From the scans and X-rays to the wards and clinics, including the eye clinic, every aspect has been impressive. The staff who cared for me and others were incredibly special, showing kindness and dedication. I truly appreciate the hard work you all put in at this remarkable hospital. To the nurses, doctors, and all staff members, thank you for your outstanding support. Your efforts mean a lot to me.
On the 30th, while traveling on a train, I experienced two episodes of loss of consciousness, possibly due to arrhythmia. The ambulance took me to a local hospital's emergency department, where the staff assumed it was low blood sugar and instructed me to walk to the registration counter. The nurses didn't inquire about my condition at all. After two hours, a triage nurse assessed me and, since I had no chest pain, dismissed the possibility of arrhythmia. I mentioned my medical background and my symptoms of syncope, but continued to wait for blood tests and an ECG, which showed changes. Unlike the triage nurse, the phlebotomist listened to my concerns and said she would include troponin tests. Later, after arriving at my brother's place, I was informed by the hospital that my troponin levels were high and advised to return. Unfortunately, I had no transport. Is it standard practice to have a patient walk around when arrhythmia is suspected? Shouldn't my concerns have been taken seriously, especially given my medical background? I am truly saddened by this experience and frustrated that my complaints were ignored.

A nurse was assigned to my son's case, but I had to specifically ask other nurses to see her for the discharge summary. She seemed unhappy that I approached her directly. When she finally came to us, she removed the IV cannula that my son had for two days. After attempting to take a blood sample, she returned to say it had clotted and tried again, wasting blood on her gloves. A junior doctor then tried to draw blood but caused my son significant pain. Despite his distress, the doctor insisted on another attempt. Eventually, I received a discharge summary stating the earlier sample had worked, but I felt both the doctor and nurse lacked compassion and professionalism. My son's experience was marred by unnecessary suffering, and despite inquiries, I still don't have the test results.
I felt completely ignored during my time in the hospital, unable to reach the call button for help. My bedding was wet and not changed for hours. I wasn't checked on regularly or provided sufficient water to drink. When I couldn't eat the hospital food, there was no effort made to offer a nutritional drink. My sores were left untreated, and I experienced untreated pain for over an hour. The level of neglect was inhumane, occurring over a span of two weeks.
This review reflects multiple visits to a local hospital. I regret to say that the treatment my elderly father, who has dementia, received was horrendous. He was left waiting for hours without explanation, not offered food or drinks, and was left on a trolley without comfort. I have come to the conclusion that there is little point in seeking treatment here, as delays in care do not lead to positive outcomes. This is a clear indication of how broken the healthcare system is.
The fracture clinic is poorly managed. There is no punctuality from the staff. The receptionist seemed more interested in socializing than working. It's frustrating to receive apologies without any real action taken to address the delays.
I have frequently been in and out of the hospital and received outstanding care each time. At one point, I stayed in the ward for five weeks, and all staff, from doctors to nurses and cleaners, were pleasant, caring, and helpful. The medical care provided was world-class, and the hospital was always clean with a lovely shopping area. M&S had delicious snacks that made the experience even better.
