I bought a Jackery 2000 pro in late 2024 direct from Jackery. How I wish I had done my research first….
Not only did the unit completely fail the experience with their customer services as been woeful and resulted in an outcome that can be described at best as misleading and at worst, outright fraud.
Let me explain: after contacting Jackery support it took nearly a week to get any sort of meaningful answer after they insisted I did a series of pointless tests and videos to prove the unit was dead. To be clear, the unit wouldn’t turn on so I ended up sending a dozen or so pictures and videos or a lifeless electrical unit and was repeatedly asked to try ‘common-sense’ solutions like, have you tried another AC supply? Or, have you checked the charging cable isn’t damaged? The customer service team replied roughly every 30 hours so it took a week or back and forth answering stupid emails to reach a point where they accepted it was in fact dead.
They offered a replacement but not for the unit I had bought which cost £1374 - instead they would only replace it with the inferior 2000v2 which was retailing at £999. Obviously that was very disappointing but I eventually accepted.
The returns process was done entirely at my inconvenience having to ship the item back before they would replace but eventually after a 10 days or so my replacement arrived. However, I was dismayed to find that the replacement they had sent me wouldn’t fully charge - initially I thought it was another faulty item but after researching the particular charging issue I discovered that they had sent me a SECOND HAND REFURBED unit that was still bound to the previous owner’s online Jackery account. What a total fraud….
So, a premium item fails and, after a load of hassle, is replaced with a cheaper second hand version and no new warranty. Not only is it totally unacceptable to replace with a refurb, the fact Jackery didn’t make it clear that’s what they were doing is the kind of underhand tactics you’d expect from a car-boot seller.
Be warned. I’m not the only one. Looking at the forums there are countless issues with Jackery products and similar experiences with customer service although I haven’t found anyone who was being ripped off quite as badly as I was.
Terrible terrible customer service? Problem after problem with my jackery v 3000 also the solar panels are terrible I got 2 x 200 wats solar panels total 400 watts and I am very lucky to get in 100 watts? And they cost a fortune each to buy my true option stay well back because as soon as a problem comes customer service not got a clue
I'm now 10 days into finding out what they are doing to replace my order for 5m extension lead. No reply for the last 5 days. Customer services are shocking clearly £32.99 is less important than this review. Anyone thinking of buying from jackery look elsewhere probably cheaper and Customer service couldn't get any worse.
Think twice and be very, very careful before dealing with this company. I spent over £2000.00 with Jackery ordering their Explorer 3000 V2 Power Station, 2, 200W each solar panels, 1 solar panel connector and 1 five meter extension cable. Now, Jackery supplied everything and no 3rd party equipment was involved. But, I have found that the extension cable has been fitted with Jackery’s old style connector and their (3 port) solar panel connector is fitted with their new style connector therefore, I cannot use the solar panels or connect them both to the power unit (not that we have had much sun) as it is impossible to connect the solar panels to the power unit. After contacting Lorinda by email with what she calls “ a detailed message” she now requests (by email) that I send her photographs of the two connectors (3-port connector and extension lead connector) before they will do anything to help/sort this out. So I telephoned them and spoke to Marita who now has emailed me and said that she cannot help until I send photographs. Jackery has supplied everything (all equipment) they have my order numbers and my address (post code) and so from my part, I cannot see any problem as to why they will not help me until I have sent photographs of what I have purchased.
Well these jackery products all do what they say they will do . We have 3 jackery 1000. 2× 1000 v2 . And an original 1000. they are are knocking pounds off our electric bills. Which was why we brought them .i use them for cooking. With low wattage cooking appliances. Running our Internet. And other appliances like sky glass tv. Just use appliances that run below 1000watts .
Brilliant 🤩 does exactly what it should well made and not too heavy or to large to move around. Only one point the web site could be clearer I would have bought a higher spec one if I’d understood how much and how long I could run things on it.
