My overall experience was fantastic. My son had broken my TV, he is special needs. Once I put in my claim, within two days, I got the money needed to buy my replacement TV. The fact that I didn’t have to pay a deductible and they refunded me the money I spent to have my TV inspected was definitely a plus. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!
Below is a summary of my saga with customer service upon submitting a claim:• I had an active monthly subscription that began 8/2024. • My claim was rejected on the grounds that I didn't have an active subscription, despite never receiving a cancellation email and despite the subscription being still reflected as active in my account on the upsie website (screenshots were provided).• According to the CS reps, my subscription was supposedly cancelled in August 2025, even though it was not initiated by me nor was I notified.• My claim was rejected since I was unable to provide proof of continued subscription billing for a subscription that was canceled without my notice or consent.• AKKO’s further investigation cited cancellation of my contract in 2023 as the reason why my contract was no longer active, despite my current contract only being activated. At best this demonstrated sloppy research.• After summarizing the email chain I'd been subjected to in preparation for leaving a review, my request was escalated and AKKO was finally willing to reinstate my contract provided I pay the missing months to bring the account up to date (a reasonable ask) in order to process my claim. For this, I have added one starvback.While I'm glad I was able to finally get the issue resolved, it should not have taken this much effort to correct an issue that clearly occurred on their end, and has greatly shaken my confidence in a company that I used to recommend to friends and family.
I have used Upsie for the first time and was my first time in making a claim. Upsie is like insurance for electronics including computers and mobile phones. I have the experience as September 10th because that was when they honored the reimbursement for the repair costs in regard to my claim. Upsie is insurance for computers, so when my warranty was expired by ASUS, Upsie did provided me the reimbursement which paid for the service I needed to fix my laptop.
Considering how many scams are out there, I can assure you Upsie is NOT one of them.Wonderful communication, with a smooth transfer of funds, and great instructions along the way.I highly recommend Upsie for your technology protection!
