I was hoping to buy a Pedego Element in red for several years. When the time finally came, I found that they were not available in any color, except a platinum edition. Pedego had also closed many of their dealerships, including the one I had been to.
While searching for the value of my old bike (selling to a friend), I checked out the Upway website. Not only did they have the bike I wanted, but a dealer had also installed whitewall street tires ($100 value) on it. I checked it out and decided that even with shipping, it was a pretty good deal.
The bike arrived in three days, well packaged and intact. Ordered Tuesday, delivered Friday. It’s condition was exactly as described down to every minor nick in the paint. They had said this was a dealer sale with less than three miles; it was .3 miles. I got a brand-new bike with upgrades and even after tax and shipping, it was $700 less than a new bike from a Pedego dealer.
I called Upway to ask for a link to write a good review. I hate reviewing things, but this experience was great. When my wife is ready to upgrade her ride, Upway is the first place I will look.

Overall I like the bike that I purchased, however I feel Upway was deceptive and not truthful about some of the details and features of the bike they sold to me.

I purchased a Velotric nomad 2x bike. The bike was marketed as this specific model on the Upway website. This bike has certain features which are unique to this specific model. When assembling the bike I noticed these features were missing. I called for assistance and Upway sent me to the bike manufacturer, which was fine.

When working with the bike manufacturer the looked into the specifics of the bike and informed me, “ We found that the display, battery, and controller do not match the standard Nomad 2X configuration, and firmware from a different model is currently installed.
Because of these changes, the system no longer aligns with the official Nomad 2X specification, which prevents us from validating its reliability or safety.”

This was very disappointing to learn. I reached out to Upway with these findings to inform them of my dissatisfaction as there was no indication of these modifications on the original Upway bike listing. The bike does not have the features which I thought it would before purchasing. Upway told me that this was normal and bikes are sold “as is”.

To me this seems very deceptive of any company to market a bike as a specific model, when in fact it isn’t. I asked for a partial refund and Upway denied this. I will not be using this website in the future. Upway needs to stand behind the bikes they are marketing and not pass the burden back to their customers.

Very satisfied with the service and the bike

I am quite pleased with the service provided by the company. The bike was reasonably priced and aligned with the description given. It's a stunning bike that feels nearly new. The only problem I encountered was a bent rear derailleur hanger that affected the shifting. After my local bike shop fixed it, the shifting has been perfect.

A big investment, but worth it!

I was a bit anxious about such a significant purchase. The bike came well packaged and matched the description perfectly. Overall, I'm very satisfied. I do have two small concerns: the package didn't include the necessary tools for assembly (hex and star wrenches), and the lowest shipping option ($99) suggests a 15-minute assembly time. In reality, with careful unpacking and assembly, it took closer to 30-40 minutes. It's not a major issue, just not as advertised.

Disappointing Offer on a Well-Maintained Bike

I was offered $600 for a bike that had all factory upgrades and accessories, and it was in excellent condition. The retail price is $2500 when stripped down. The same bike is sold by the seller for $1400 without any accessories. A pawn shop nearby offered me $1200, which says a lot about the service. If a pawn shop can give a better price, that's quite telling.

Fantastic Experience with My E-Bike Purchase

I bought a gently used e-bike that was three years old through a platform. Before finalizing my purchase, I had a few questions that were answered quickly and thoroughly. The website was impressive, especially with its 3-D views of the bike. After making the purchase and paying the shipping fee, it was delivered promptly. The packaging was outstanding—I've never seen anything so carefully boxed for shipping. Every part of the bike was well-protected with foam, ensuring that it could withstand a lot of impact without damage. The box even had a scannable code for assembly instructions, but putting it together was straightforward for me. It included most of the necessary tools as well. Once assembled, the bike matched the description perfectly—practically new, clean, and seemingly well-maintained. I encountered no issues during assembly or with the bike itself. A few days later, the platform personally called to check in and ensure everything was fine, which is rare these days! I felt confident that they would have addressed any problems if they had arisen. Exceptional service! I've already recommended this platform to friends and would happily buy from them again. Well done!

Excellent packaging and great support!

The bike was exceptionally well packed and arrived without any damage. Although the charger that was included didn't function correctly, the support team was very quick to respond and sent a new one. I'm very satisfied with this service! I purchased a nearly new bike at a fantastic price. A true win-win.
