Review Time
Broke within a month. Customer support is unresponsive to non-existent and it’s been another month of running after them to get things fixed/replaced that are covered in warranty!And when their “technician” visits , they refuse to do any repair work. All they want to do is to “document the issue” for the next technician !!!
When the appliance was first installed, the cooktop did not work at all. the oven however was functional. Fortunately, the appliance dealer was able to supply us with a replacement unit pretty quickly. This was not a good start, since we had been a little hesitant about purchasing a Bertazzoni appliance in the first place, since we had read a great deal of negative reviews in the. Nonetheless we went ahead with the purchase after visiting the showroom in San Francisco and with assurances for better service. Then the next issue arose, we tried to enable the bridging function - the process being rather awkward - and during the attempt, one of the knobs broke...We now have a call in for Service and have yet to hear back from the service supplier... on the plus side, it looks terrific!
I don’t normally have time to do reviews when I do it’s a 5 star but I feel obligated to leave this review. This product has some pretty large design flaws.Pros: Looks good, structurally sound.Cons: we’ve had 4 service technicians and 2 contractors come by within 3 years. We’ve lost the freezer (3) x and now the refrigerator once. Here at the issues 1. If the ice tray is full, you pull it out and ice drops out, you can’t reach it so when you close the fridge the ice breaks the grating and/or the fridge won’t close. We keep a pair of prongs by the fridge for this purpose, it happens quickly so if one piece of ice falls the freezer will shut but it’ll leave a 1/8” or so gap. We’ve done this twice and lost everything in the freezer due to this.2. The gaskets fail quickly, 2.5 years in and the door gaskets don’t seal. We travel a lot so we aren’t even here 50% the time.3. We ordered the SS door to put onto the built in: the door handles strip easily, I’ve essentially had to use super glue to hold it in.4. The water seems to work 80% of the time, despite being “on” on the control panel it takes 2-3 days and we just wait. 5. I’m now on my 2nd reprogramming of the control panel, everything keeps failing, now it appears the capacitor has blown. 6. We are 2 weeks and counting waiting on “customer” service to assist, I have a 3 year old and a 3 month old needless to say this “Italian” piece made in china isn’t worth the $9500 I paid for it. I’d strongly encourage everyone to do a very deep dive. Appliances fail but in 20 years this is my first negative review I’ve ever given so please do your homework.
We started off with a new Frigidaire Stove and right off the bat it was terrible because the thermostat was 75⁰ -100⁰ off and the feet fell off when they sent out a repair company to review the issue. After the technician shared with us that these Frigidaire stoves are junk we returned it and looked for a better option. We found the Bertazzoni and made sure that the thermostat was fairly accurate before the installers left. After a month we are happy with our choice.
We love the range, our only complaint is we ordered it in March of 25, but it didn't arrive and get delivered till Sept 29th. No rush by us we knew it would take a while. However the range had a double warranty promotion that ended July 31st, and even though we ordered during the promo, we dont qualify for the double warranty......Disappointing to say the least...but again, we love the unit.
