Stay away from this organization! After your first sale, they will ask you to verify by sending a photo of your ID and a selfie. Then, they will send you questions regarding your business and payment. You'll give them everything from contracts to correspondence with clients, and then you'll get deactivated. All my acquaintances advised me against using SquareUp, but I was swayed by their marketing. I purchased many subscriptions for their service to easily use their features, but it all turned out to be smoke and mirrors, designed to waste your time and additionally freeze your sale! My client worked with me on a prepayment basis; I processed a refund after the block to return the prepayment to the client and continue working with another payment aggregator. People, save your nerves and time, do not engage with this company. Read the negative reviews first and then make your decision.
I would highly recommend NOT using square for your business. Long story short, they closed my merchant account because they asked me to take perfectly legal items off my website. I refused. I was selling legal thc and cbd. Since I didn’t adhere to their request to negatively effect my sales, they started holding all of my sales. It’s been almost a year and I don’t have my money back. Every time I call or chat with them I get a runaround. Square has a horrible business model. They will take your money so they can gain interest from it while your business is hurting because you can’t buy product. All I can say is DONT DO IT!
