One of my websites is an information portal that is paid for by monthly subscription. I used a Wordpress plugin that was not the best solution for interacting with Square and came to the conclusion I needed to change ... so I Deactivated the software on my site and revoked the software's authorization (ability to connect) in my Square account. A month later, charges are still being processed for subscriptions made through the old software, so my clients are now being double-billed.I have now called twice about how to stop this. In both calls I was transferred multiple times (spoke to at least five people in each call). When I finally got to someone who was willing to try to address this, both individuals came to the conclusion that there was nothing they could do to stop the unauthorized charges, and both promised me that someone who doesn't take calls would get back to me.Nobody has ever followed up after either of these calls. To be fair, Square has an excellent user interface (Dashboard) and all the services I need ... I really like it when all is going smoothly. But I take double-charging my clients very seriously and apparently Square doesn't.I have been with Square for several months now and hoped to have them handling all the payment processing for the three businesses my wife and I own. After these recent encounters with "support", however, I'm seriously wondering whether that is a good idea.
Been with Square for a little over a year. In that time the issues and customer support has got worse month on month. From items and products not loading, about 15% of the time. Then we have promised resolutions, returned phone calls that never happen. Now we are having issues with customer service even responding to the continual problems. Square looks good, sounds good... and once you have set up your shop with them - they know you're stuck - and then the service drops off, fees increase and customer service doesn't resolve problems. We are still experiencing daily issue that Square just doesn't offer any resolve for.AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I placed an online order recently, and just like in the past I would select "Pick Up from Store" to save on delivery costs. After the initial ETA receipt date has passed, I went on to check the tracking website, and it stayed as "Out for Delivery". When I triple verify via UPS, it shows that it needs to amend recipient address. This shouldn't happen considering the store address should be in the system. They tried to re-send one of the items again for me after my first email to customer service (the others were unfortunately "sold out" after it was returned which also doesn't make any sense) and the address change happened once again. This is very unfortunate considering I love the brand a lot and simple things like these leaves a bitter experience for me as a customer. I hope this gets updated soon!
I am utterly disappointed with the Square Payment App and their deceptive practices! One major issue that everyone needs to be aware of is their ability to hold your hard-earned money in your account for a whopping 90 days for absolutely any reason they choose. It’s astonishing how they can hide behind their convoluted terms of service to justify this unjustifiable behavior.I cannot stress enough how crucial it is for everyone to tread with caution when using this app. You might find yourself in a situation where your funds are frozen without any reasonable explanation, leaving you struggling and frustrated. And even worse, don’t be fooled into thinking that they will promptly release your money right after the 90-day period. Their actual timing is far from predictable or reliable. To make matters worse, the customer service of Square Payment App is an absolute nightmare. Trying to reach a real person who can address your concerns is like searching for a needle in a haystack. They seem to have mastered the art of avoiding accountability, leaving you feeling helpless and cheated. In conclusion, steer clear of the Square Payment App if you value your financial security and sanity. The risk of having your money held hostage for three months without a valid reason is just not worth it. Save yourself the headache and frustration by exploring alternative payment apps that treat their users with respect and transparency. Your wallet will thank you!
