Going through this process has been stressful until I spoke to desiree! She explained everything thoroughly made sure that I understand, and made sure that I was confident in the decision that I was making. I probably wouldn’t have went through this process. Had it not been for her reassuring me and making me comfortable. We definitely need more people like Desiree when it comes to this process keep up the great work and I really appreciate all you’ve done.

Veterans First Denitra Cosby helped me with my refinance. I work construction it’s hard for me to use the phone she worked with via phone calls and text and email to get this done I think she even worked after hours. She was so knowledgeable on what all paperwork and what needed to be done that we didn’t have any surprises everything went smooth in a fast timely manner. She also scheduled appraisal and water test. She asked what times what be good for me to handle these things where it wasn’t effecting me in my line of work. She also worked through the holidays and even. She also let me know all of my options to see which one I was good with. I recommend her for anyone refinancing or buying needs.
SAINT NIC SAVES THE DAY IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!!!Nicolaus with Veterans First Mortgage is a God-sent loan officer. Really he is. This is my first transaction with him and as a Realtor, I'm thoroughly impressed. He truly does put Veterans first! Nicolaus is everything both a Realtor and a buyer would want in a loan officer. He's incredibly intelligent and well-versed in his field. He is easily accessible. He is responsive. He's solution-oriented and level-headed. If fires start, he's got all sorts of ways to extinguish it. So many times he's rescued this transaction from falling apart due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control. But because Nicolaus truly takes his time getting to know ALL of the moving parts in the transaction, including getting to know the client and the Realtor, he seems to always have solutions ready. He even helped my veteran client get benefits he didn't even know he was entitled to! I'm definitely keeping Nicolaus on my team. He's a gem. First of all, I am a current Wintrust Mortgage customer and when it came time to buy a new home for an upcoming job transfer out of state, I discovered Veterans First, a subsidiary. Our work with Nicolaus Clark, our loan officer, began in July 2024 and I can confidently say that he and his team are rock stars! While my transfer took time, Nick and I worked together to get my financial portfolio in shape. He even encouraged me to apply for my VA disability. He always checked in to see how my transfer was progressing, keeping me posted on rates, and when my transfer finally arrived in November, he and his team were ready. He worked with my realtor and me to get the preapproval process started and when we found our house, we worked together to make the loan process as smooth as possible. When I received the good news that my disability was approved, it was life-changing. It's now helped my get my family into the home of our dreams and this was all due to Nick. And when a few unforeseen snags occurred Nick and his team worked late hours to assist us, making sure we were able to close on our home in time for the holidays. I cannot say enough good things about our experience and if it were not for the time Nick and Veterans First invested with us at the beginning of our journey, we would not be enjoying the new chapter in our family's lives.
