I booked a flight from Chiang Mai Thailand to Teko Intl Airport in Cambodia on Viet Jet Air on 24 Feb 2026. Date of travel 02 March 2026 round trip returning 11th March 2026. On the initial page of the flight purchase 'see attached screens shot' it asked for 'middle name, first name' and then in another box for last name. I paid 9987.92 Thai Baht.

I received a ticket reference number H7C4U3 on my email., 24th Feb 2026. I include a copy of that ticket. Normally any airline sends an email 24 hours prior to the flight for online checkin. I never received that email so I called Vietjetair Thailand. 02891909 and spoke with Nita who insisted that I would need to pay an extra 2,800 baht to change my name. And that she would send me an email to conform, which she never did. This is obviously a scam. Reddit has many comments on their forum about this.

Pathetic check in service.. Not sure if the inefficiency is because of the staff or the administration. When I walked in to Danang airport for a domestic travel, the queue was never ending. Heard people are standing for hours waiting for their turn.. as a first timer to Vietnam, I found this to be a nightmare which otherwise was a great trip to Vietnam .

I wish there were an option to rate 0 stars, because even 1 star is too generous for VietJet Air. Online check-in was pointless since the queue was mixed with regular check-in, and the staff were rude and uninformed about basic visa rules. I was wrongly told I couldn’t fly visa-free to Malaysia, only for them to Google it and realize I was right after causing unnecessary stress.

Disgusted . Dealing with the vietjet airlines complaints team almost a year . The most distressing thing of my life. The poorest service you can receive from any airlines out there . Pay 10 extra but never use them airlines. I will take you to the court. Vietjet

Besides flight schedule changing 5 times, what I found the worst experience was, when I booked the ticket with a paid seat (seat A) next to the window, but after getting to the plane, there was already a couple with their kid on my seat and the next one (seats A and B). They said they booked the seats online and showed me the online tickets, but when the flight attendant asked what seats were printed on their paper tickets (mine showed seat A obviously), they said they didn't check and put those tickets in their bag up in the overhead bin. The flight attendant then dragged their bag out and asked them to take out the paper tickets, and to the most unsurprisingly they showed seats B and C 🙂. But the worst scenario happened, the flight attendant asked me to take seat C (the farthest from the window) because the lady on MY seat HAD A KID. No recommendation for compensation or a refund, just asked me to hand over what I PURCHASED, and the couple of course had no intention to go back to their TRUE seats. What's the point of spending your money to get the service and having to give way passively. I was the only one following the policy here and both the flight attendant and the couple did me wrong.

Probably the worst airline I have ever experienced.

Multiple flight changes which affected my next flight which I had to rebook to make them work for additional fees.

I booked thru their website including my first and middle name. Upon check-in, they were rude and asked me to change my name. This is after queueing for couple hours. Then went to a separate counter we were asked to go to and after 15minutes, asked to move a counter for another 15minutes.

Then back at the checkin counter again.

Almost missed our vietjet flight as a result.

Oh and because of the delays of this airline, we missed our connecting flight too which, because we booked separately after numerous changes with Vietjet, we had to pay another change of flight.

So if you value your peace of mind, skip this airline.

Do not fly business class with Vietjet! Lack of care and an unprepared staff. We arrived at check-in in Ho Chi Minh more than 1 hour in advance, having already checked in online, just to drop off our luggage. Two employees saw our boarding pass and directed us to a huge line, where we waited for about 30 minutes. When we finally reached the counter to check in our bag, they told us we should go to the business class check-in counter (that no body mentioned before), saying that “you paid a lot and should have premium service”, even though they had already messed everything up, and were still making us walk around and end up late.

To make matters worse, they lost our luggage, which didn’t arrive in Da Nang, and there is still no estimated time for when it will arrive.

If this is the business class service, imagine the other categories. Terrible! I would not fly with Vietjet again.

Worst airline I have ever used. We were Delayed by 7 hours and 20 minutes which was bad enough, apparently delays are common with this airline. To top off this experience they even charged me 15 USD to add my children’s middle names to the booking. Would never use them again! The staff were extremely rude and told me to use a different airline in future if I didn’t want to be charged extra. Basically admitting that they were ripping me off but that’s what they do. When on board the flight they were only selling water and food. No snacks offered. The flight was full of screaming kids (it was now late at night and the children were clearly tired). Disgraceful airline.

The worst, they weigh your personal belongings before you ride the aircraft (even if they’ve already weighed it in the check in) CRAZY!! They’re scamming people so that you’ll pay them coz u have no choice as the plane is already boarding. So what if you buy in duty free? WELL DONT if u plan to get on this plane coz they weigh that too! Even ur personal bag (aka. Your small bag) also they are rude!

Avoid. Booked a return flight -first leg about $2k, return leg $8k. I booked it because it was refundable with the thought of changing it later. But I have now found , it is not refundable to my credit card - it is refundable in that I will get flight credits that can only be used with VietJet within 24 months. What a SCAM!!
