Shopping on Vitacost's website is very user friendly and easy to use. I have been a customer for 15 years and will continue to be so in the foreseeable future. The prices are very reasonable and shipping is very rapid.
They previously provided excellent shipping and prompt customer support. However, my last order was problematic, with several items missing, no packing material, and a dirty box. The items that did arrive were unusable. While they refunded the damaged products, they disputed the missing items and have not issued a refund. They should be accountable for the missing items. Very poor customer service.
I have tried to order from Vitacost multiple times over several years. Almost every order gets cancelled after being confirmed. Each time I contact support, I get a different vague explanation and no actual fix. I have verified my billing and shipping information repeatedly. Nothing changes. If you value your time, shop elsewhere.

... very disappointed. I placed my order, in good faith, based on a Brand Code and company code totaling a 50% discount. I read all the 5-star reviews stating how good the Bilberry product was and how quickly its effects were experienced. In the past, my orders would arrive within 1-2 business days. Instead of receiving the product yesterday, I received an email stating TRANSIT DELAY. As a registered healthcare professional, I needed the product ASAP. That didn't happen; so I called to see what the best offer was before I ordered from another supplement company or went to my local health food store.Clearly, I am not a satisfied customer and will not be ordering for Vitacost again.
I've frequently ordered from Vitacost for years. Only twice have I dealt with customer service. When my order arrived, I discovered an item was not what I ordered. It was a powder supplement and not in capsule form. I called Vitacost and the Rep that took my call barely spoke English and was disinterested in my issue and abrupt as she could be. She told me she would need permission from someone to credit my account and I would have to pay to return the product. The item I ordered would not be sent as a replacement and I would need to order the right item again without the discount I received for the wrong item. Only by spending $50 worth of other items that I don't need, would I receive free shipping after reordering the product again. So, I asked to speak to a manager. She refused. Finally, I insisted to speak to a manager. She kept me on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up. 10 minutes later, she called me just to say no manager would be available. Horrible customer service!I am delighted iHerb has acquired Vitacost and encourage them to fire the current customer service Reps who treat customers like crap.
Order cancelled for $181. And email sent nearly a week after initial online order. Didn't see all the information in email, requiring almost all info from order be verified! Talked to a customer service person, said they can't help...its from Verify. Could hardly understand her...obviously a call center remotely, with bad connection. Really bad experience. I've read similar reports on Better Business Bureau site.I ordered from them years ago with no problem. Now I am relieved as there customer service is terrible.
I placed an order on 01/02/2026. The shipping time stated 3-4 business days. It is now a week later. On USPS Informed Delivery, I watched my parcel arrive at my local post office and then immediately be returned back to the major USPS hub elsewhere in my state from where it had just departed. It has been sitting there for 2 days now. Who knows what shipping address is on the parcel. I contacted Vitacost customer service and asked if I could just refuse delivery and get a refund. My refund was allegedly processed right then. I haven't see a credit on my Visa card yet. I don't know if the parcel is coming back my way or will be returned to Vitacost or just sit at the hub for eternity. After reading some of the other reviews, I am glad I cancelled my order. I can get these products for about the same price elsewhere.
I’ve been ordering from Vitacost for a long time, and I couldn’t be happier. Their customer service is excellent, and the products are consistently high quality. The prices are very reasonable, and I really appreciate that there’s no annual fee required to receive discounts. Free shipping on orders over $50 is a great bonus and makes the deal even better. I’m very satisfied with their service and will definitely continue shopping with them.
They canceled my order, without notification and reason, when I asked the customer service why, I was told nothing and the chat ended from their side. I would not recommend! Very poor site-wide and customer service experience!!! Save your time and energy!
