be careful dealing with wealthsimple if you have large sums invested there, they closed my account without notice and when I asked for help they said they cant give reasons. they just deleted my account for no reasons.

Attention a confier votre argent à Wealthsimple, ils m'ont ferme mon compte sans préavis et ils étaient incapables de fournir une raison pour la fermeture de mon compte. Attention à leur confier vos économies et que vous vous retrouviez dans la meme situation que moi.

Unprofessional customer service- they hold the check clearing amount for more than 10 days - dont provide clear answer when escalate- Their associates close call on customer face and do not take ownership for their own created issues. Digital banking is ending you no where to talk with a real human being in person
I have switched my account to physical a bank.
Definitely do not recommend.

I have a small trading account which I depend on for weekly living expenses. I submitted a limit sell order. The stock went above the price; however the order was not triggered. Recognized something was screwed, I tried canceling the order and was subsequently stuck in a 'cancelling' status for the rest of the day. I contacted them and was told that they were not responsible for any losses incurred and thus is the chance I take trading stocks. It was the exchanges responsibility to correct the problem. TSX fixed it within an hour and said it was the responsibility of the broker to cancel the order. They did not even try. By end of day, received notification the order was canceled. I ended up in a loss, instead of achieving my weekly goal and losing 2 weeks of daily living expenses.
I tried selling another stock and the transaction executed as requested. WTF. Not impressed. Time to close this account and move back to Questrade who bo loner charge commissions.

Initially, I had faith in them for small transactions, and it all seemed to go well. However, problems soon arose. Whenever I tried to withdraw, unexpected errors kept popping up. They even asked for extra funds during the withdrawal attempts. Ultimately, my access to funds was blocked right away, leading to a complete loss of my investment. I cannot recommend them; their service is lacking. My funds have been on hold for five days after numerous identity verifications, including intrusive requests for my bank statements. I would advise against using such a subpar platform.
