Updating my original review because I didn't provide "additional information" within 3 days of their request. Worth noting, it took Weavers of Ireland WEEKS to respond to my December 20th request after having been shipped the wrong item and the issue is still unresolved as of Feb 6, 2026.
Timeline:
Dec 13: ordered red/tan scarf
Dec 22: received wrong color (green/charcoal) scarf and immediately emailed customer care
Dec 25: I email, no response.
Dec 30: Weavers of Ireland sends generic AI email on how to file return. I want to exchange for the correct item and obviously not pay shipping to return their error, so I continue to reach out.
Dec 30: I email, no response
Jan 2: I email, no response
Jan 9: I email, no response
Jan 12: I email, no response
Jan 15: Weavers emails apologizing for "high traffic" on their end and arranges for exchange.
Jan 20: I mail the incorrect scarf back
Jan 23: I receive notification they have received the scarf.
Feb 6: I email inquiring whereabouts of correct scarf which they claimed was being shipped upon receipt of wrong one.
I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. Weavers of Ireland is a real company with real products (as evidenced by the incorrect scarf they sent), but their service is possibly the worst I've experienced in 34 years. Maybe they started small and failed to scale to meet demand, but we're almost 2 months from my initial order date and I still don't have the product I ordered. Getting in contact with their customer care has been a nightmare and has occupied an inordinate amount of time. Hoping I get the scarf in time for next winter, but not counting on it.
I ordered a cardigan and it took more than 30 days to arrive. The customer service was disappointing, with no email replies or return instructions provided. The cardigan itself has minimal yarn, a very sheer pattern, and the plastic buttons are barely attached, with threads hanging loose.
Congratulations to those who had a good experience. Unfortunately, I did not. I placed an order on November 17 and received an email confirming it, which was good. However, on November 25, I got an email saying my order was delayed due to customs issues. I understand that delays happen, but I expected better communication. I reached out to customer service on December 11 and received a generic response. As of December 19, I still hadn't received my package and had no updates. While I know issues can arise, the lack of communication is unacceptable. I will not order from them again or recommend them to others.
I ordered two items on November 29 for Christmas gifts. One arrived fine, but the other highlighted the poor customer support of the company. I emailed for an update on December 6 and received vague responses. Despite multiple follow-ups, the order was not fulfilled, and I was offered alternatives or refunds that were never acted upon. As Christmas approaches, I’m left disappointed and frustrated with the lack of proper communication and service.
I ordered a women's v-neck sweater with a promise of shipping in three days, but it did not ship on time. I received vague responses when I contacted them and tried to cancel the order with no reply. After reporting the issue to my card company, they cancelled the order, but my refund had a 12% deduction without any communication. Very unprofessional business practices.
I never received the sweater I ordered and faced poor customer communication. I could have flown from Boston to Ireland and received the sweater in 48 hours, yet here I am approaching a month without it! Items I order directly from China arrive faster.
There was no warning regarding UK import duties when I entered my postcode. I received a £130 import tax demand from the carrier. I declined delivery, and the package was returned unopened. I reached out to cancel the order before it left but received no timely response. I was given a partial refund, claiming I was liable for the cost. If you're ordering to the UK, be very careful. You may not receive a full refund even if you refuse delivery. After further follow-up, the situation was resolved, but better transparency regarding import duties is needed.
I want to sincerely thank the company for their high-quality products and personal attention to detail. They are one of the few companies that genuinely respond to every customer inquiry. Thank you very much, and enjoy the upcoming holidays!
