Review of Well Woven Rugs – Buyer Beware
On June 24th, I purchased two runner rugs through Amazon from Well Woven. One runner was $660.00, and the second was $171.60. When delivery arrived, only one runner showed up.
After waiting, I contacted the manufacturer directly on July 9th to inquire about the missing rug. I was told production and delivery were pending. Over the following weeks, the shipment of the second runner was pushed back three separate times. Eventually, it became clear it was never coming. I did receive a refund for the smaller runner, but only after repeated follow-ups.
The larger $660 runner that did arrive was admitted by the company to have been made from “the last of the roll material.” Unfortunately, it has a permanent crease running the length of the rug that will not flatten, creating a visible defect and a legitimate trip hazard.
I requested either a replacement or a refund for the defective runner. The company refused, citing a 30-day claim window. This is despite the fact that the order was only partially fulfilled, delivery was delayed, and the product that did arrive was defective from day one.
Adding to the frustration, Well Woven’s website continues to show this and other rugs as available to order, yet they are reportedly not in stock. My experience suggests significant inventory and quality control issues.
Amazon was notified of the situation but did not provide meaningful resolution.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Well Woven. The customer service response was inadequate, the inventory representation appears misleading, and the quality of the product did not match the price point. Proceed with caution.

Anyone and everyone that will listen! Please Do NOT order from this company! You will not be able to return it no MATTER what is WRONG with it! if you see you don’t like the color, if it does not match, if they material is cheap and you cannot seem to make the rug lye down no matter what you sit on top of it! I spent $200 and was very disappointed on a runner to say the least! My bathroom rug is more plush that what I got! They would not even agree to allow me to choose something different!!! What kind of company in this day and age will not accept you returning item that you have never seen or touched until you open it up in your home!!!!! Please we aware!!!! 10-9-2025
Ordered a 9x13 rug from them. Already own a bunch of their rugs, so I knew what to expect. This was delivered folded up with torn plastic and the rug exposed and dirty. It was obviously a previously returned, used item. I sent them pictures which they acknowledged was not ok. Promised a refund that never came. The website is wellwoven rugs.
The runner I ordered arrived with a defective binding. It had a 1.5 inch gap where it was not sewn. After an email exchange asking to return and refund they offered me 90% refund. We agreed to a 100% refund and I did not need to return the rug. They also left me a voice mail with this promise. I have yet to get my refund and will have to contest the charge with my credit card.
Scam - avoid at all costs. No one answers the phone, the tracking number you get does not exist and is provided through an Australian tracking company even though they are adamant that they have a UK warehouse in Lutterworth. When you look up the address they provide, there is no warehouse listed for Well Woven, only one for Wayfair which was the closest I could find considering they are listed on Wayfair. Their email address for customer service does not exist, and they are not able to answer any of your questions on the online chat. They just copy and paste a message to you addressed to "Mary" saying that they are requesting an update from their warehouse. I have been told I will get a refund, that I have to "check online" for the refund to show. I asked why I should need to "check online" for a refund that is supposedly going to my bank account and they could not answer. I have copies of the transcript for anyone who has any worries like I did when I did not receive proper tracking or communication from this company.
The wrong rug was delivered on 15 January 2023. It is now 24 February and despite numerous emails I have not been provided with details of how to return the rug or receive a refund. This is really poor service. I wonder if this is even a real company. Do not recommend buying from this company.
