I found out about Wheelhousebikes following a google search for Forme bike dealers. We were looking for a specific bike to get our 4yr old more confident with cycling without stabilisers. Derek was brilliant from the start - very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he does. Amazingly he had one bike left - most places sold out of this specific bike due to the huge bike crisis that has hit the world due to COVID. We went to view and Derek offered some great advice.Most importantly our little boy got the bike he really wanted 😁 which we managed to take away straight away.Thanks Derek we will be returning to explore balance bikes for our 2yr old very soon.Great service and I would definitely recommend this place 👍👍👍
I have a rare-ish folding bike, a Giant Clip (2009) with a mono stay and mono mount hub with a seemingly unfixable issue. I took it to 2 other bike stores (1 independent and 1 Giant) and they couldn't do anything with it. I got chatting with Derek and he said he was keen to have a look at it. Derek triumphed. I have my folding bike back now in great condition ready for action. Would recommend.
I bought my first bike with Derek at Wheelhouse Bikes and the whole process was fantastic! He took the time to have multiple phone calls beforehand to figure out what I was looking for, what my experience level was and take all of the right measurements. He suggested a number of great options, all of them appropriate for my skill level and price, and I ended up getting a really fantastic bike. He even delivered the bike to me (not a short drive!) so that he could makes sure it fit properly and I had all the right gear. Derek takes real pride in what he does and clearly has a real passion and love for bikes. It was such a pleasure to work with them, 100% recommend!
I had a niggly problem with the motor on my eBike. Derek took time out to look at the problem for me, provided a concise report enabling me to take it back to the supplier and get the motor replaced.I am very grateful to Derek for his invaluable assistance.
