Review Time
I was bought a leatherman years ago by my dad, which I now use everyday working in a boatyard. Recently one end of the pilars snapped off whilst fighting with a split pin. My colleague said you just send it back and they'll fix it. I was fairly dubious as I had not proof of ownership but sent it off anyway. I filled in the returns forms describing the damage adding that if they fancied sharpening the knife properly it would be greatly appreciated, I also mentioned that although the leatherman sidekick had been with me for a while that if they were unable to fix it and had to make a replacement then a leatherman wave would actually be great. Probably a bit of a longshot but thought you never know. Not even a week later, I received a parcel back from Whitby & Co with a very shiny Leatherman Wave and an advert for a knife sharpener. Amazing customer service for a great tool.
I ordered a gardening knife as a Christmas gift, yesterday 9 December 2022. Less than 24 hours later DPD delivered it. Currently Royal Mail/Parcel Force are on strike, I was concerned that it could have been delayed. But no the company had the foresight to use DPD. Well done.
Sent a brand new multi tool with problems, boxed with receipt tried to palm me off with a model £££ cheaper. Asked for it to be returned so I could send it back to where I bought it. Got JUST THE TOOL wedged into a jiffy bag come through my door. No box no reciept!! Appalling customer service. Take care if you send your expensive multi tool here. Just Beware.
Broken Wave knife tip.This is not the first time I've received exceptional warranty service from Whitby & Co, having several Leatherman tools. Broke the end off the straight blade. Posted on Friday, arrived at Whitby on Saturday, new tool through my letterbox on Monday.Absolutely outstanding. Keep up the good work guys!
The tip of the blade on my old Leatherman multitool snapped off. After looking online I found out that Whitby & Co handle all Leatherman warranty returns in the UK. I thought I'd not really got anything to lose by posting the knife to Whitby & Co to see if they could repair it. I thought best case they replace the blade and I pay for the new blade, and worst case they say they can't do anything and I get the tool back.But to my surprise, seven days after posting my old Leatherman to Whitby & Co, I received what appeared to be a brand new Leatherman in the post!Exceptional service - thanks very much indeed! I'll hopefully get many more years of service out of this new tool.
My husband is a gamekeeper and uses his leatherman everyday in his work and it was getting worn so he rang Whitby & Co to see if he could get it refurbished & they said send it back as it has a 25 year guarantee! Fantastic service as it was only away not even a week and it looks like a new one. Fabulous service, I cannot rate this company highly enough! Thank you!
