Review Time
Per my previous review, I was contacted directly by a representative from Wix.com. During our conversation, I was able to clearly explain that my concern was not about avoiding payment, but simply about refunding the original credit card that I intended to replace and charging the updated card already on file.
As a customer of Wix.com for over 8 years, I appreciated the opportunity to finally have the situation fully understood. The representative reviewed the matter and processed the refund to the original card. I then used my updated credit card on file to purchase the premium services again.
My concern has now been properly resolved.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to a long-term customer and for correcting the issue. That level of resolution deserves a 5-star update.
The 7000 character limit for data markup is antiquated to the point of being very limiting. In the age of AI the structured data is often the most important part of the site and being forced to use the Graph markup so I can split a list rather than using ItemList is a deal-breaker. I was already unhappy with several aspects of this service, mostly the limitations of your blog "app". If you had disclosed that blog pages would not behave as site pages I never would have moved my site pages to your blog system. Wix hosting is also slow.
The webiste design is intuitive and easy to use. Unfortunately the billing has gone up substantially and their customer service has gone down even more. Their AI chatbot for customer service is bad (kept refering me to reach out to... itself), and the live representatives were slow and incoherent.
I have maintained a Wix Premium subscription for more than eight years. On February 18, 2026, Wix processed a renewal charge prior to the March 9, 2026 billing end date. I contacted customer service immediately to request a refund to the original card so I could use an updated card, which I promptly added to my account.
After difficulty reaching support, I was informed that completed transactions cannot have their payment method changed. My request to speak with a manager was denied due to “no availability,” and the follow-up email simply repeated the same policy without addressing the early billing concern.
While I understand companies have policies, strong customer service requires discretion and reasonable flexibility — particularly with long-term customers. In this case, there was no effort to provide a solution beyond restating policy.
This experience reflects a rigid approach to billing concerns and limited escalation support.
Wix is an incredibly dishonest company out to just take people money
They make it seem that everyone can use this site to create a website
Then once you have paid this huge amount, yes huge for a single South African mom trying to launch a website to stay afloat
The then give you the run around of around of multiple different apps none of them user friendly most of them don’t work! As in you can’t even change a picture or a color, you have to be a code writer to be able to do anything
They then refuse to give back your hard earned money that they just keep for themselves without helping you
This is the most dishonest company I’ve ever had to deal with and I will tell everyone to steer clear, and write my review everywhere
Wix should be ashamed of how they treat struggling businesses owners
Websites are not an easy or fast for somebody like me , with average computer skills. But, not having a lot of spare cash to employ an expert, I had to learn and become to be a DIY. Wix is my second web platform, the previous company just let the design options become stale and dated, help was very difficult to find and costs kept going up big time so I changed over and happy that I made the right decision.
So much has changed so fast with the intro of AI. Sometimes it is a pain as you don't always get the answer you want to resolve an issue as you don't know exactly what to ask for in geek speak.
Wix do have a help phone number as such, but you can find one if you dig really deep.....not easy to do so, but I have always been able to resolve issue when I have spoken to a human, great advice, very helpful. You can always email a question as well but that may take a day or so for an answer.
Am I happy staying with Wix, yes :)
On January 11, 2026, prior to an auto-renewal deadline, I accessed the Wix platform to cancel my subscription. Despite this timely attempt to terminate service, I discovered a pending charge for a three-year renewal—an aggressive term length that carries a price increase of over $200.
On January 12, 2026, Wix ignored the active cancellation request and allowed the $504.00 charge to post to my account. I immediately filed a formal refund request. While Wix acknowledged the error by refunding the sales tax portion of the transaction, they have refused to refund the $504.00 principal balance, effectively seizing funds for a service that was canceled before the new term began.
This is not a simple billing error; it is a predatory "lock-in" tactic. By processing a multi-hundred dollar, multi-year charge after a cancellation attempt—and then withholding the bulk of the refund—Wix is engaging in deceptive business practices.
This pattern of "phantom renewals" and partial refunds appears to be a systemic issue affecting numerous consumers, suggesting a deliberate strategy to retain unearned revenue. I am seeking a full reversal of the remaining $504.00 and am filing this record with consumer protection agencies to document these bad-faith billing cycles.
I’ve been using Wix for my website and the experience has been amazing. The interface is very intuitive, and it gave me all the tools I needed to grow my online presence. My site is thriving and I’m very happy with the results. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a professional and easy-to-use platform!
THEY ADVERTISE TO LAUNCH A SITE IN UNDER 10 MINUTES, CURRENTLY I AM 16 HOURS IN, I HAD TO RECREATE MY SITE 3 TIMES, AND NOW GUESS WHAT, MY CREDITS ARE GONE AND I CANT DO S***! CHATTING TO SUPPORT IS USELESS, SUPERVISORS HIDE BEHIND EMAILS, NOW I NEED TO WAIT 24 HOURS UNTIL I GET CREDITS AGAIN TO USE THE AI FUNCTION. ALSO, IN CASE YOU REALLY CONSIDER GOING WITH THIS S**** SERVICE, DONT USE THE AI OPTION, ITS A BETA VERSION, IF I UPLOAD THE IMAGES WHAT IT CREATE ON A PREMIUM VERSION PAID YOU WILL RUN! I WAS AFTER 4 HOURS ADVISED TO DELETE THE SITE AND START A NEW ONE WITH WIX VIBE, WHICH ACTUALLY STARTED TO WORK, LINKED TO MY PREMIUM PLAN, NOW ALREADY 14 HOURS IN, FINALLY WORKING. CREDITS GONE...CUSTOMER SUUPORT ANSWER - PLEASE CREATE A NEW SITE IN MANUAL MODE !!!!!!!!!!!!! The site is easy to use even for creating some things I had not done before. I was able to Google for instructions on creating a popup for the website to announce a weather cancellation. Directions were clear and it was easy to do even for those of us who haven't had special training in using WIX. I volunteer to maintain and update it, but am not the designer. Not everything is intuitive, but most things are.
