Review Time
I ordered a costume from Oktoberfest Haus and when the order failed to arrive as stated on the tracking document I tried to call them. Unfortunately they don't care about their customers as they refuse to talk directly with you. They force you to have a computer chat. I wasted over 1/2 hour trying to get my delivery problem resolved and the chat person stopped communicating leaving me wait for over 15 minutes without a response. I work hard for my money and when an order does not arrive on time I expect a company to help resolve the issue. They simply don't care about their customers. My advice is WATCH OUT. Deal with a company at offers service after they take your money......
It's 2015 - I honestly feel that if I pay $7.99 for "standard" shipping, items could be mailed priority for $5.85 and get to the customer in 3 days! I'm on the 9th day and still not here. Party is tomorrow and now I have no costume! I buy online from Amazon AT LEAST twice a week and I've never had a problem so I felt pretty confident that my Oktoberfest costume from this company would have plenty of time to arrive. I will never ever ever order from this company again - unless you spend $$$$$ on overnight, or you have months to wait, I advise against using their services.
I placed an order 11 days ago. Their website said 5-7 days for shipping. I have not rec'd my item nor have I rec'd an email saying it's even been shipped. I have called their 1-877 number 43 times at all times of the day, no answer. I have left numerous messages, no return call. I have left numerous emails, no reply.
They have $100+ of my money and I have NOTHING. BAD BAD BAD customer service.
Easy to find what I want, from final order submitted to arrival. All was completed quickly and arrived packaged well.
Only misleading thing is "free shipping for orders bigger than $xx dollars"
but it only applies to US orders, need to read in the small print on shipping rules to identify does not apply to Canadian orders. That's the reason for the one star loss, great customer service means 100% transparency which I don't feel was clear on this point.
I was really pleased with the quality of the copper mugs I bought. The mugs are larger (16 ounces) than a pair I bought a while ago. So far, they have not tarnished unlike my older mugs. Also, having the pure copper rather than the lined mugs makes a difference in the taste and temperature of the drink. These were a great value.
The Oktoberfest Haus website had a great selection of costumes for German themed parties. We received the package quickly. However, when ordering the costumes there were a few frustrations and complications as described below.
1. The website advertised "free shipping with orders $75 or more", but did not state that it was only to the United States and not to Canada. When placing my order of over $140.00 USD there were no free shipping options, however there were shipping options for $58 or $28. This was completely outrageous. However, we went ahead and placed the order because this site is one of the few sites that ships these kinds of costumes to Canada. This is false advertising. It should state in USD along with the "fine print" that the website puts in the shipping guidelines that were read after the fact. The website should also breakdown the costs for CDN dollars upon ordering, not after the fact.
2. When the package was received in the mail, everything was fine, until we opened up one of the costumes and there was a huge rip in the side. However, we could not send it back because the event we needed the costumes for was that same week. The costume cost us $48 USD and even more in CDN dollars. This was absolutely unacceptable for this price and if we could have we would have sent the costumes back and demanded a refund. We will be contacting the company for compensation.
We spent an outrageous amount of money in CDN dollars and because of the hassle we experienced alongside the price, our experience is rated 2 stars for poor. We will not be ordering again from this site unless some compensation is offered.

This is the first time I have ordered from Oktoberfest Haus and I was very pleased with the excellent service they provide and quick response to questions. Always seemed to deal with Anna (unless they are all called Anna), she was very pleasant and helpful.

I was pleased with the ease of web/online ordering. Checkout page was easy to navigate. Order was delivered in a very timely fashion and the product was as shown on the website, nothing shoddy about the merchandise. Very pleased with the overall experience.
