VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE PROMISE AFTER PROMISE SPOKE TO TANNER VERY RUDE AND KEPT RAISING HIS VOICE WHEN ASKED FOR HIS SUPERVISER HE STATED THAT ONLY ONE ABOVE HIM WAS THE OWNER WILL BE GETTING A NEW COMPANY TO HELP WITH OUR CARD SERVICES
Wow! I am very impressed with the professionalism and kindness of Tanner Husak. He answered all of my questions (even went above and beyond with his answers!) Their pricing was extremely competitive! However, I did find a cheaper company, but they price matched exactly what this other company was offering. I was very excited about this because I am a sucker for good customer service! I highly recommend this company and Tanner, himself!
Update: ProMerchant leadership reached out to me several times and worked through the issue with us. They also provided a rate reduction and other compensatory measures. I'm upgrading my review to three stars for their follow-up. Original review: Customer service is the downfall of this company. We had our card processing system deactivated without warning, rendering us unable to process payments and make money! After being shuttled around on the phone for several hours, we were told that the reason for the deactivation was a compliance issue and that we had to talk to the violations department, which can only be reached by email. Customer service could/would not tell us what the issue was. Incidentally, are system IS PCI compliant and shows as being compliant on their portal! We aren't aware of any issues whatsoever. It's now day three and no word from the "violations department". I would 100% steer clear.
I signed up needing a service to run a credit card sporadically and from time to time. I used the service 2-3 times and then have not for several months. I noticed today that they have been charging me all these months even though I am not using the service. I thought I had set up the account so that this would not happen.Regardless, I have not received one statement, which would have alerted me to the fact that I am getting charged. When I told them I had not received a statement, they told me I had to have opted in to receive one. That is so deceptive - how convenient. Usually you opt out and you make sure your customers are aware of charges.How convenient too that someone called me repeatedly to sign me up but that not one person called to check why I was not using the service even though I was being charged. Not impressed at all and will not use again. Very unprofessional and deceptive.
It was a pleasure talking to Mr. Tanner Husak today in learning about the all of the logistics of the POS services they offer. He told me about the monthly service fee, no cancelation/contract fee, listed all the pros and cons of doing something like this or that way, and if I want to ever change anything to give him a call to avoid any difficulties. It's SUPER great to find someone who won't hassle you into getting a service until everything is taken care of. Truly gives you a peace of mind with little stress/pressure to do everything right away when you are just learning to figure things about building a business. Overall, he was very clear to understand for this first time business owner (with pregnancy brain) that knows little right now.
I was glad to hear that I was not the only person being ignored by ProMerchant. I have to say I experienced the same Customer Service in the beginning. My rep from ProMerchant was very accommodating but now every time I call her, it goes straight to her voicemail. I’ve left messages for over two months for her to call and there’s no response. I’ve even tried someone else’s extension and they’re not calling back. Even BBB has tried to contact them to help assist with this problem and they can’t get through. I don’t know what’s going on with ProMerchant, but they have left me high and dry but they continue to charge me fees, if you are considering going through Merchant, I do not recommend!
I love ProMerchant, their fees are the best and have an easy experience with the payment processing. For the past month I haven’t been able to get ahold of them. Their main telephone goes straight to voicemail and I can’t get ahold of my agent or any agent for that matter. I believe they’re going out of business. I will update my rating once I hear back.Updated 07/13/24They’re fully operational again.
Our company 4M IMPORT & EXPORT Inc. After much research we decided to select Promerchant as our ally for credit card payments and payment link with our WooCommerce portal, however the days go by and they do not help us obtain the API serials to connect our platform... we feel that we have been left aside in the middle of the initial step as a new client... our entire organization is shocked by the lack of help at key moments in our business. We don't know why they have forgotten us.
