It is unfortunate that the quality of these boots is poor, as the gel inserts (laminitis) do help the horse. Purchased a pair of boots from Soft Ride, directly and had an issue with the stitching that holds the fabric to the sole of the boot. It started to unravel in one of the boots. It was an obvious defect in the construction. Sent pictures of the boot to Soft Ride (and further indicated that we had discarded the packing slip which accompanied the boots) and they said they were not able to locate the order we placed to honor the return. Sent the order information (and credit card information) to them and then they did not get back to us (ghosted the issue). Sent several emails to follow-up on the issue and got no response. Although they claim to warrant their boots, if there is an issue brought to their attention, they do not honor the warrantee. Sub-standard customer service in that they do not acknowledge or respond to issues with their product. DONT' WASTE YOUR MONEY to chance not having an issue with the product.
I don’t do reviews but I need to let people know. Very bad experience first I order the size our ferrier recommended we receive it and it was to big return then and they don’t give a full refund they charge you for shipping and also you need to pay for shipping to return it. I call them talk to a representative and recommend another size with the pictures with measurements I sent, unfortunately too long we do not understand how if they are providing the sizes. I call them back and the lady said to send them back they don’t have anything shorter so we did. For our surprise they are deducting $75 stating that they were used we use the plastic food wrap as suggested! Paid to ship it back! Call them and the guy said to call Carla she is in charge I call no answer and didn’t allow to leave a message. Very disappointed we really tried to make it work for our horse. They are not professional. They take advantage of customers. Be careful.
I hate to give the boots themselves a failing review because they really do work.....if you don't get a faulty one. I did and it was wearing a sore on my horses coronet band. It clearly had a crooked seam on the top which puckered badly. I wrote several times and got no response. As expensive as they are, I would have hoped for better customer service.
Absolutely NO SERVICE! They either ignore your email, or send it back with no help. I've ordered two pairs in a 2 month period, wish I could post photos here, both pairs completely torn and unusable. My laminitic horse is very slow moving, and only walks slowly. I asked them for help and got none. Also, my credit card got stolen BOTH times I ordered from them. And you all know what a hassle that is! I asked them to look into it, no response, of course. I did not ask for a refund, did not ask for anything but help on confirmation of sizing on my 3d pair of boots and laminitis pads.
The Soft-ride Comfort Boots only lasted 4 days when I found a major rip defect in the inside lining. Soft-ride Comfort Boosts their year guarantee, but for my experience did not hold up to their end of the deal on $220.00 pair of boots. When I sent in pictures they progresses to blaming it on me for not calling in my measurements, although I tried several time and only got a recording with no option to leave a message. Next was my fault for not taking boots off and cleaning everyday when I was following my Vets instructions for 4 days on 1 day off and I did check Velcro several times a day. Today I am stuck with $220. boots that are ripped, but Mare will have to wear anyway. Thanks Soft-Ride Equine Comfort Boots for your support!!
I have had Soft Boots on my thoroughbred for about a 2 weeks and in this time they have come off 3 times. This was a bad decision to purchase this brand :( I called SR directly and Jackie (no matter how many times I called, it was strange she was never there) sent me a 6L bc my mare's hoofs are wide. They fit the width, but nothing else. Seemingly therapeutic she could benefit greatly, if they could stay on. She suggested folding the back down, but that didn't work. Next stop more custom inserts. This is my 3rd pair ($600) and it's getting to expensive along with equioxx.
Appalling service, scam company with zero care for animal welfare. Knowingly selling faulty products with a bogus warranty that they will not fulfil. They charged my credit card an additional USD$180.00 above the advertised price without approval and would not respond to emails. The boots arrived significantly delayed, immediately the stitching came undone and the boot fell apart. I contacted the company with detailed photos and have since emailed 7 times this month with no response.I have a sick horse endangered by this company, they happily took $ with no intention of providing the product advertised.
