A frustrating experience for young drivers!

A frustrating experience for young drivers! It's advisable to steer clear. They penalize for numerous reasons yet take an eternity to award points for flawless driving. The app is inconsistent, making it difficult to monitor scores. I also use another app to track my daughter's driving alongside this service, and it highlights just how unreasonable they are. This service will only add anxiety and stress for young drivers.

Complete disappointment with the service

Complete disappointment with the service! Young drivers should steer clear. They penalize for countless reasons but take ages to reward points for excellent driving. The app is also unreliable, making it hard to track your score. I have another app monitoring my daughter's driving alongside this service, and it shows just how absurd they are. This service will only increase anxiety and stress for young drivers.

Phone usage sensitivity is problematic

I have no complaints about the black box except for the phone usage sensitivity! I don’t understand how my phone can be placed on the passenger seat or in my bag, yet it still registers as phone usage. It seems that any tap on the screen counts as usage, which feels quite unfair. Everything else has been great, though. Just one more month to see my renewal price.

Total disappointment

Total disappointment. There’s always an excuse for why it doesn’t work, and even when it acknowledges my driving, it doesn’t score it, so my score is currently very low. Every time I get in the car, I struggle with the app. Mobile data, WiFi, and drive update errors keep occurring...

A frustrating experience with policy cancellation

Like many others, our policy was canceled because they claimed we hadn’t downloaded the app and synchronized the device. They sent multiple devices at the start, so they can’t be certain which one was for us, but somehow, that’s our fault. I wish I had seen these reviews earlier; I’ll ensure others are aware of how poor this service is. Customer support was unhelpful. I learned from a community group that this is a common issue, and many have reported them for the same reason. I will definitely avoid them in the future.

Frustrating experience with the policy

We took out the policy for my daughter in September, and just two weeks ago, they contacted her saying her score was below 30, threatening to cancel the policy. However, her score is actually 81. We tried reaching out through their online form (which doesn’t allow screenshots for proof), and they promised to respond. Eleven days later, we still haven’t heard back. We messaged again, stating that if we didn’t hear back by the end of the day, we would escalate the matter. This service is unacceptable.

Positive experience overall

I’ve had this policy for four months now. It was the most affordable option I found, especially since I only have three years of no-claims bonus due to a theft. It’s the only one requiring a black box in the vehicle. So far, I’ve consistently scored 98 or above. The black box is sensitive to harsh braking, which I’ve been penalized for a few times, mainly due to driving in a rural area with narrow roads. Overall, I haven’t had to change my driving style much and look forward to the renewal benefits.

Terrible experience with the insurance

My son has only had his insurance for three days, and I’ve already had to cancel and switch to another provider. They requested photos of the car, which we provided, but claimed the color was non-standard. Dealing with their customer service was frustrating, and I’ve never encountered such unprofessionalism in my 31 years of driving. This service is awful.

If I could give zero stars, I would

If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been the worst experience in over forty years of having car insurance. I took out a policy on October 11 but canceled it two days later after reading reviews, which I should have done beforehand. I received a refund minus a £40 setup fee for a box that hadn’t even arrived. On the start date, they took another £40 for a cancellation fee. It’s been a stressful situation, and I had to cancel my card to prevent further unauthorized charges. Please check reviews before committing.

Avoid this product!

Avoid this product. It’s unclear what its objectives are, and the driving recommendations can be dangerous. I constantly receive alerts about harsh braking, even though I drive carefully. The reports often misinterpret regenerative braking as harsh braking. This product seems to need to find faults rather than provide genuine feedback. I believe it should be banned.
