It's a very good file downloader and converter. You get 10 downloads per day (which is a lot compared to others), plus it's very secure and has great Premium plans that can be either annual or permanent. I love it! 5 stars
I could not even use the chatbot, since only 4/5 of the chatbot area is shown. When I tried to install a program it downloaded but didn't install, claimed that my OS wasn't compatible, and told me to look at the compatibility list. There was no compatibility list.
Very disappointed, I had used the previous (licensed) version earlier, but now its functionality is CUT.
Paid for a lifetime program, but now the option for high quality downloads is gone, playlist support gone. When adding my license key, it says I have to pay to get those options. I had them already. I paid for them years ago. Now gone. And you want $30 to restore them. Seems like a scam. If you can't get this figured out, I'll leave the one star rating.
It's a great prgram that updates often to stay current. I had an issue, they got back to me relatively quickly - were kind and concerned. I wish they had an instant chat, but they did return my email pretty quick.
The program did an excellent job downloading playlists from YouTube, my only issues with it are that there appears to be no way to preserve the playlists actual order. After downloading one I had to go in and rename each adding a number from the first episode to the last
I truly enjoy 4KD, but after using this software on a daily basis for many years, I do not believe this never ending struggle with parsing issues could result in a perfectly functioning product to suddenly become useless moments after selecting SKIP THIS VERSION, especially since I just upgraded yesterday! Please stop or I will be forced to delete every remnant from my system.
This is a company that provides real technical support - the turn around time for a new patch in response to a reported issue is typically around 2 days. That said the software does run into problems with Youtube regularly due to changes on the Youtube platform.
Having used this software for a number of years, it is certainly the best out there as far as I am concerned, on the occasions I have spoken to the customer service, they have always got back to me with the least amount of delay; and are very helpful, and thorough.
I've been trying to archive about 80 stream vods lol, and it's only been possible through this app. The videos are all downloaded with accurate quality video and audio, which is absolutely perfect. I've also used it to get footage and audio to use for editing, which as said before, it does great with. Perfect for people who want to make sure they can keep the videos they like and want to make their own.
