Back in 2022 I purchased one of the early solar generators thinking I was spending $2,000+ with a company who cared in providing quality products to families looking to take care of themselves when things get rough. Their MREs are decent, so thought maybe the solar generator would be as well. The solar attachments never worked from the beginning but I was told by customer service I was probably installing it wrong. I plugged the unit it and charged it. Used it once for 20 minutes, and then in preparation for the most recent storm, pulled it out, charged it (took 7 hours), drained it (took 20 minutes running a 1400kwH heater) and while recharging it, the battery only got 1/2 way, and the unit stopped charging. The customer service once again said "not our problem, you're outside your 1yr warranty." For a piece of junk. Wish I had read more reviews. Praying others read reviews before having their own $2,000 learning experience.
First portable generator lasted 30 minutes and died. The replacement, in which they couldn't get the shipping address correct after several calls, won't even turn on. We're sending it back permanently. This company has such bad products that I am surprised that they are still in business. Do not buy anything from them.
I have a model 1800 generator that i used with an appliance that was advertised to consume only 1600 watts, well within the 1800 watt max adverstised for this generator. AC Output failed with red alarm lights over output. Tech support from 4patriots says the even though the appliance rating power consumption says it should only be 1080 watts, the unofficial power consuption could be as high as 2500 watts, which means I probably fried the output circuitry of the generator. As an electrical engineer, I could debug this and fix it but 4patriots refuses to release internal schematics on the unit. Their recommendation is to take it to a repair shop and have them try to fix it, even though they refuse to documet the internal circuitry. Not sure how a repair shop will repair this without schematics. Beware! Appliance ratings are not always accurate and 4Patriots are not really interested in solving customer issues (yeah, its out of warranty but I expeted more from their technical support team other than "it broke, live with it". Time to look at alternative power solutions other tha 4Patriats for my survival needs. Buyer beware!
I ordered the buy 3 month get 2 month free meal kits.i opened the container to find punctured bags and food all over the container. I started checking bags and came across over 30 bags hard as a rock and a handful of bags from 2022. I started doing the water test on the mylar pouches only to find a good portion of bags were not sealed. Almost 80% of bags have hard as a rock lumps in them. Been trying for two weeks to return and get replacements only to be redirected to different email addresses and nothing but promises by phone. All the bags were dated 2024. Check all your bags there throwing in old food with spoiled food in hopes you wont check them.Im done trying to get reimbursements but i will report this to the BBB.
We bought a $7000,00 freeze dryer 2 years ago with a 3 year warranty. Has not worked correctly in 3 months. Have spent countless hours on the phone and email with them. They have had us perform all kinds of tests, which we did, and sent them the results. We are currently on our 4th customer service person, who just sent us an email saying that we should find someone to come look at it. No recommendation, and in looking around, we could find no one who works on freeze dryers. Of course we'd have to pay, even if we could find someone to work on it. They no longer sell them, and won't tell us who manufactured it for them. Even if we could find someone to work on it, they probably couldn't get the parts from 4 Patriots since they don't sell them anymore. Even though it's still under warranty. DON'T TRUST 4 PATRIOTS FOR ANY EQUIPMENT THEY SELL
They showed pictures, and advertised food for two months in my order. I received 8 pkgs each of rice, pancake mix, oatmeal and creamy rice and vegetable dinner, plus 3 vanilla pudding, 4 mac and cheese and 8 assorted dinners, adding up to about $100. The total cost was $295.34. I was assured I could return it if I wasn't satisfied. When I tried to return it, they said I had to pay return shipping. At about 50 lbs. per box x 2 I can barely imagine what that will be! More than disappointed, I believe it's a fraud!
