All of the teas I have sampled from them are abysmally bad... I honestly had no idea that one can ruin tea to that extent. There is zero care or effort when producing and mixing the tea and you can clearly taste that. Any little quality that tea itself had is gone with the worst flavourings, most of which taste and smell the sameThey are by far the worst company to order tea from, whether you like flavoured or non-flavoured tea
Adagio Teas is awesome.They have delicious teas. Their service is outstanding. The variety is amazing - better than any other tea store I've found (and believe me, I hunt for good tea stores). I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who likes tea!
I wanted to give this company 5 stars... But my experience won't let me.I ordered my first 3 teas from them, looking for a Teavana replacement. 2 of the 3 teas were really good, and flavorful. But the 3rd tea, Kona Pineapple, was just stale. It had no taste, or smell. Like, it almost had a smell, but didn't. Lol. And we all know what that means.So I contacted the company to ask if I could return or exchange the stale tea.My question was ignored completely on the 1st email. They asked me for some 5 digit code that didn't exist.So I tried again. This time, they told me that I could return it, and told me where to go on their site to do it.So I did.... It turned out they wanted me to pay to ship back their stale tea. Since I only bought $8 worth of the Kona Pineapple, it didn't make any sense for me to stand in a line at the post office and pay an equivalent to that for shipping.So I emailed them again. This time, they ignored the email completely.So I emailed them again, this time past the 30 day window. They once again. Told me I have to pay to ship their crap back to them.I REALLY wanted to like this company. But they REALLY don't care about iether their quality of tea, or their customers.I've never had such a terrible experience with any tea retailer. I'm not saying I've never gotten damaged product. I once got a packet of tea that wasn't even closed from Teavana. They sent me a replacement as soon as I called about it. Rare occasions happen. I don't get why they don't admit this and take responsibility for their mistakes. Like, is this because it's not an American company? I'm not used to an entity so obviously not giving a damn.
I discovered this tea company not too long ago and have been consistently impressed. Their prices are almost unbeatable, and they have an incredibly good selection of teas. I haven't disliked any of the teas I have tried from this company. When I had a question about one of my items, I sent them an email and they replied within the hour. They are always so good about sending free samples and little extras. Just love this company!
Made a purchase on 11/25, Adiago’s website offered Apple Pay and the shipping options said an upgraded service of FedEx 2 day was available for $5.75. I needed to receive the order by 12/4 for an event and decided to upgrade shipping. On 11/27 Adiago shipped my order and FedEx reported my item as shipped “home delivery” not two days and quoted 12/4 as the delivery date. I was unhappy about the misleading shipping but at least the item should arrive within a day of when I needed it. I emailed Adiago about the shipping issue and asked for a response. They did not respond.12/4 has come and gone, and FedEx has managed to mishandle and misroute my package over and over again. Currently my delivery date is “pending, unknown.” On 12/3 the package was at my local FedEx facility and should have been loaded on a truck and delivered. Instead FedEx routed it to another city an hour away where it sat for 1.5 day, only to be misrouted to another facility an hour away on the other side of me, where it has sat and been scanned 4 times but still not actually gone anywhere. I’ve emailed Adiago again about my experience and requested a refund of all shipping charges as this is inexcusable.—— edited after interaction with the company: rating changed from 1 to 3 stars.On my third email and after posting here on trustpilot, I was able to connect with a human at Adagio. While I am still disappointed with my experience, when I was able to get a response via email I felt like I got a decent response as well as acknowledgment of the apple pay/shipping options issue. My shipping costs are being refunded as requested. I wish this had been a better experience end to end, and FedEx finally put my item on their truck today, so fingers crossed!If I drank tea, I’d be open to trying this company again, but do not choose FedEx as your shipping if you want your product in less than two weeks.
