My loan was transferred to this institution, but initially, they misplaced it, resulting in no payments due for the first two months. Once they located my loan, they began charging interest despite my inability to make payments. I had to contact them multiple times to request the removal of the interest, which was their fault. Though they eventually waived the minimum payment interest, I am still paying significantly more than before and have provided proof from my previous lender. The payment process is frustrating, as they charge fees for phone payments or require transfers to a checking account they set up, which I prefer to avoid. Transfers take several days to process. While a recent representative was polite, this has been the worst banking experience I've ever had. I would recommend avoiding this institution unless you want to deal with excessive fees and loss of your hard-earned money.
I submitted a home equity line of credit application based on a promotional rate. After following up, I was told to submit all documents to avoid expiration, which I did. However, after more delays and requests for additional information, they claimed I hadn’t submitted everything and that I needed a new application, all while the promotional rate was no longer available. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch. The communication has been very poor, and the loan officers have failed in their responsibilities.
This service was once excellent. However, in recent years, customer support has deteriorated significantly. They have outsourced support to AI, making issue resolution nearly impossible. Even when speaking to a live representative, they often provide misleading information. They've also removed features from online banking that empowered customers. Additionally, upon opening a minor's account, unsolicited credit card promotions began arriving without parental consent. We chose this service for its customer focus, but it seems they now prioritize profit over customer care.
I've been a customer for years without major issues. However, their rates have declined recently, prompting the need to switch for better options. Also, the lack of support for a popular payment service has caused some inconvenience.
This institution is a total scam, and their staff is misleading and unhelpful. I was approved for membership and a credit card, only to later be told my account was closed due to a supposed lack of deposit, which is false. They even conducted a hard inquiry on my credit. Avoid applying here.
We are generally pleased with this service. A recent issue was resolved promptly and satisfactorily. However, there are two reasons for not giving a full five stars: (1) the website can be slow and cumbersome, and (2) the recent change in cash back for credit card purchases from 2.5% to 1.5%. While not a huge issue, it is disappointing.
This service has definitely taken a turn for the worse. I joined in 2021 and had no issues until recently. Over the past year, the frequent technical problems are absurd. The app is often down for maintenance or fails to load altogether. The few times I reached out to customer support, they were unhelpful and rude. Additionally, they are among the few banks in the country that don’t support a popular payment service, which has caused me significant inconvenience. They’re in the process of changing leadership, which may explain the ongoing issues, but at this point, it seems simpler to take my business elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.
