I had a bad experience. Very unbelievably bad. The delivery guy just left the ruined box outside our building, all the time all deliveries come straight to our doors (4th floor). The delivery guy wasn’t prepared with any trolly to transport the box to my door step and he even argued with me. I am old, I had to drag the box up the stairs because our buildings elevator is under maintenance. Can you imagine 4 floors I need to take. Worst is thing is his attitude as if I’m the one who forgot to bring a trolly to the job. I paid a lot to get this box shipped, that’s £1400 just to give me a back ache, I’d be needing to check with a&e why my back now suddenly hurts so much. This is a simple task your driver should’ve solved himself, he seemed like he just wanted to finish the day and go home. No care on the package(literally torn at the top), no care with your customers that paid a lot thinking everything will be nice and easy.
Waiting for a delivery from a company I've used many times before, however not with DHL as a courier.My address is admittedly a little hard to locate, but hasn't caused problems for previous couriers.One might hope that if your profession is "delivery", then having a knowledge of the whereabouts of properties could be an essential requirement.Their first attempt didn't materialise. It was reported that the driver couldn't gain entry to the property. Strange, because the porch door is always open.The second failure led to the report that the merchant had provided insufficient directions to the address.OK - this led me to then attempt to contact DHL directly to provide directions, and my mobile number should the driver experience further difficulties.However, you can't talk to an actual person, you have to message the company who will then reply within 24 hours. They didn't.Waiting on the third attempt, so I contacted the merchant to see if they could give directions directly to somebody at DHL. They said unfortunately not while it is in transit. It has to fail again, be returned to the merchant and then re-sent with more detailed delivery instructions. Great.Sorry, but this is an utterly useless system whereby nobody can communicate with the delivery driver, which I would have thought might be an essential component in solving difficult deliveries.
