My parcel went to the ParcelShop on December 29th and when I went there to pick it up on January 5th, they told me the item had been returned to the sender on January 4th! In the e-mail I received it says the item would be in the Parcelshop for 8 business days!!! What should I do now? I need this package ASAP.My tracking number is 10371512408.
Useless and dishonestI waited for a parcel. No time of delivery was available. Then received an email saying it had not been possible to deliver and to call GLS to rebook. The reason given for the delivery failure 'the driver could not find your address'. This is despite the fact I live 20 metres from a main road and La Poste, DHL etc have never had a problem finding the house.Rebooked for delivery for the following day. Waited in all day until 18h00. No delivery. The same excuse. And no telephone call from the driver to help find my address. I strongly suspect therefore the driver made no attempt to deliver my package.Asked GLS if there was a drop-off point from where I could collect the parcel. No, this was not possible but if I wanted, I could wait in for a third day in the hope of a delivery. Fantastic, what a great idea...not.Cancelled my order and will not order again from any company that uses GLS in France. Worse than useless.
Abysmal service, an item I bought was handed over to GLS in Germany on the 18th of December, it hit several parcel depots in Germany before making its way to Ireland, arriving on the 28th December.It then sat in the local parcel depot for 9 days, the tracking being updated every working day with 'The parcel has reached the parcel center' during that 9 days.I emailed the local depot on the 2nd January asking when they intended to deliver, I was told the following day, no package arrived, by the 4th I was fed up with the whole process and sent them another email, giving them a deadline to deliver on the 5th by 14:30, or I would refuse delivery, I received a response saying 'I have printed your email for the morning shift and advised it is urgent'.Today the 5th, mid morning, I check the tracking to see was the package on the van and out for delivery, no, but tracking updated again, with 'The parcel has reached the parcel center'.I sent one last email to them, warning them to either deliver by 14:30 or to initiate a return to the sender, as I would refuse to accept delivery, I got no response from them.The tracking was later updated that evening with 'The parcel is stored in the final parcel center, it could not be delivered as the consignee refused acceptance, The parcel has been returned to sender'A right laurel and hardy shambles, no apologies, 19 days, 9 of which sat in local depot.Will never deal with GLS again, never.
Where to begin, First of the Irish agents in GLS customer care need a gold medal. They’re phenomenal! The British agents and email service however, my god they couldn’t care less about helping you. Package was due for delivery on the 19th of December, listed as not being delivered due to traffic conditions, fair enough it’s Christmas week! All in total driver had loaded the parcel onto the van 6+ times and couldn’t be delivered; one of the excuses citing not enough address details; dispite the driver contacting me personally; as well as me calling CC to give a further description of the address as well as an alternate address if useful, The driver still couldn’t do his job. He was then instructed not to return to the depot end of business on January 2nd with the parcel that it was to be delivered that day; however; he didn’t scan the package end of the day and then delivered it to an address 25Km away from me on the 3rd?!! After being told the depot manager would be in touch; he hasn’t been, I get told then by CC he has until the 8th of January to rectify the issue at which point the loss of the parcel is my responsibility; direct quote from one of GLS British agents. Absolute Scandalous behaviour from a courier company. I’ve seen toddlers with a better sense of direction this crowd. If you’re at the start of issues or are a company considering using them; just don’t.

Very disappointed in after sales. Been trying from start of December to get someone out - no response despite several phone calls to and establish a date as to when they would be available. Several weeks on and no response. I sent a formal compliant to them in 21 December - again no response - no acknowledgment- nothing - do I need to go the Ombudsman now! Pathetic service .
