Review Time
AppSumo told me I would receive my refund within 1–2 business days, but that time has already passed and nothing has been processed. They didn’t deliver the product, and they also didn’t provide the refund they promised.
The lack of communication and follow-through is very disappointing. I expected better service, but this experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. I hope they fix their customer support because this is not acceptable.

I expected AppSumo to provide reliable support, but the experience has been frustrating. The support team is slow, unhelpful, and often gives generic responses that don’t solve anything. It felt like they didn’t actually read my messages.
I usually enjoy exploring deals on AppSumo, but the poor support made the whole process stressful. I hope they improve their customer service because right now it’s not acceptable.

Amazing refund support.
For example, AppSumo refunded deals, and still allowed me to keep/maintain lifetime access.
I only buy software from AppSumo and on Steam (Valve Software). That is it.
I've bought a good deal of software here that I now use very day.
Pay once and no subscriptions, (just like in the 'old' days).
Support is quick and responsive.
Instant refunds, no questions asked.
Whenever you buy software here it is 'frontier' versions, usually takes another 12-24 months for the software/website to mature.

Being with Appsumo for few years started normal member and now as Plus Member. Well, some products along the way were not up to expectations. The majority of its are excellent. Good response from Appsumo Support team willing to help out if any issue. Overall, it is a good deal, depending on each individual's expectations.
I purchased a product on Appsumo and then the provider halved the plan storage without notice; and they will not answer support requests about it.
Whats worse is that Appsumo HIGHLY unethically BLOCKS SEARCHES from their search bar to their listing of either Afforai or Logically.
Afforai promoted products and sells them on Appsumo, Changes it's name to Logically.

Logically engages in mass theft against customers by reducing the offerings of each tier, gets countless crappy reviews

Reviews include many complaints made to both Appsumo and Afforai, but never any answers/solutions. Also they promised an enhancement path but the same antiquated models are the only ones available, two years after my purchase.
Do either of these organisations sound like ethical ones to you???

I purchased Chopcast back in November 2025. I send email to cancel my subscription the next day. The subscription was never updated to Pro. The next month, December, they charged my credit card. I had to contact my bank to get a new credit card. They keep charging my credit card for a subscription that was never activated. I requested a refund after discovering ongoing functionality issues that made the product unusable for my business. Despite clearly explaining the problems, my refund request was denied solely because it fell outside the 60-day review window, with no consideration of product performance or long-term usability.
For software tools that are meant to be integrated into professional workflows, issues often only become apparent over time. A rigid policy with no flexibility places all risk on the customer. This experience has significantly reduced my trust in AppSumo for software purchases.
I subscribed to a premium membership with the company a year ago, but my account was later hacked. Despite providing support documentation and even offering my bank statement to reclaim my account, they banned it instead. I lost access to my purchase history, including trial items I intended to cancel. The support team was unhelpful, making the experience feel frustrating and pointless. A year later, they still charged me for the premium membership on my banned account. After reporting this with my new membership, their so-called fast support was anything but—taking 1-2 weeks for a response. I've had issues with other platforms that were resolved quickly and politely. In my case, after multiple follow-ups, I received a dismissive response stating they wouldn't charge for a renewal but ignored my request for proof. I urge others to avoid this platform as many users seem disinterested in doing business with them anymore. Interacting with their technical team felt like talking to a brick wall, with no solutions offered. Save your money and consider other options.
As long as you are a member, you can get refunds, but once your membership expires, nothing you purchased can be refunded. After buying multiple lifetime deals and spending a significant amount of money, I had no prior indication that refunds would no longer be available. This lack of transparency is frustrating. I have engaged with the company and followed their content, so it's disappointing to see this situation arise from a service that should provide value.
